No, I didn't Forget About This One... · 4:29am Apr 11th, 2016
Twilight was having a wonderful night. She could not, in good conscience, call it a normal night. After all, if her poor heart was subjected to the joy of finding an ancient tome of eldritch lore that most of the world had long forgotten about more than thrice a month, she expected it would burst.
Now, Twilight was rather particular about certain things. One of these things was, by coincidence, that while she buried her face deep in pages full of timeless horrors and unspeakable creatures with names like The One Who Sleeps Eternal, He Who Walks Behind, and The Wyrm That Walks, she was not to be disturbed. This could rather plainly be seen by the siege wall of wards she had erected around her library, tall and solid and there for any unicorn with an inch of horn or ounce of sense to feel and avoid. For those who lacked the magic to sense them, there was a sign. It was a rather large sign, clearly worded and in very large print. This meant she did not feel at all chagrined at the occasional flash of light and stream of curses that wafted up the warm night air to her open window.
When a rather brighter flash came, followed by a deafening roar of curses so thick and sulphorous she swore the air turned a faint shade of blue, she tried to ignore it. THe concussive wave of force that immediately followed, however, bowled her into a bookshelf and most definitely got her attention. Racing to her window, she gaped at the fading light at the centre of the Everfree Forest. Frantically calling for her assistant, she began to write a letter.
I'm just rewriting it.
*Puts away Necronomicon* Seems she's got that covered!
