Okay so if you're reading this, congratulations you can consider yourself in the know, and you're one step closer to finding the secret treasure that I hid 20 years ago when I was only 2 days old, but seriously enough screwing around.
I have been struck with the worst possible thing that could happen to me, as a writer. Writers block is a serious issue that we as authors face from time to time. I've lost a lot of motivation to write, and there's the added bonus that I'm going to be starting a summer job soon. All of this wrapped together in a nice little bow, but it's not a gift (At least not for you guys) because that means that Boy or Beast is being put on Hiatus. I have neither the proper time nor the proper motivation to actively write.
Seriously you know how much it sucks when you're staring at a white screen for hours and the only thing you have is "the"? Yeah so until things calm down for me a bit you can stop holding your breath waiting for a new chapter.
Ah well that sucks but there's really nothing you can do about it. If you force it you'll either grow to hate the story or you'll pump out shite. I'm happy to wait so long as it keeps either of those from happening.
Also good luck with the job.
Something you might want to look at: http://thewriterintheworld.com/2016/01/post-operative-depression-inflammatory-cytokines-or-writers-block/
It talks about post-operative depression, but it also goes into stress and systemic inflammation and how they relate to both depression and writer's block. It's certainly something to look into, and if you think you want to look into it more, start researching systemic inflammation, what affects it (physical chemical and emotional stress, food, and so on), and how to detox your body (liver and intestines, specifically) to reduce systemic inflammation.
It takes awhile to recover completely, but I've been dealing with this kind of crap for decades and have only recently learned how much better I feel after flushing it all out. I'm not anywhere near 100% yet, but it's still a massive improvement over how things used to be. I've actually been able to write again!

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I'll be looking into this
3852339 I just found this, as well. Definitely something to look at, along with the system flush. http://www.lifeextension.com/magazine/2014/1/turn-off-the-cytokine-switch/page-01
I've got additional specific suggestions if you decide it's something to pursue.
