An Argument For Trixie · 2:51am Apr 3rd, 2016
(Oh, btw, hoping to finally finish Canterlot's Newest Star today :3)
Trixie needs way more than the "occasional appearance", her story arc was left half-complete in season 3 and then she just walked off. How is she coping with being reformed? What's she doing with her life now? Is her personality still the same? I can think of a million episode ideas right now, I've never seen a character with more potential.
It's ridiculous that people in the fandom actually think the "occasional appearance" is enough. She needs to appear at least once a season, at least - there's so much of her story left to tell, and in any other series she'd be good enough to be the main character! MLP's cast is just so good in general that a lot of characters get left in the dust, but Trixie deserves to make a return.
And if you don't believe me, here are 3 episode ideas right now:
- With the rest of the mane six missing, Trixie and Twilight are forced to work together, and while they bicker at first, they end up becoming an awesome team
- Trixie approaches Twilight wishing to learn how to become more powerful, but she just doesn't have the ability to pull off powerful spells; Twilight realizes, however, that Trixie's true talent is illusion magic, and she shows Trixie that she can be powerful in her own way, by using the magic she's good at
- The mane six are visiting Canterlot when they see Trixie holding a new show - unfortunately, Trixie seems not to have learned from her past mistakes, she offends the audience and is chased off the stage; the mane six end up showing Trixie how to be herself and 'show off' without putting others down - the episode ends with Trixie running a successful charity show for ponies in need

+Senpai Wrench and I had a conversation about Trixie and he put all these points a lot more elegantly than I possibly could.
Basically, Trixie has heaps of potential, and to just forget about her would be a terrible idea!
TRIXIE! MORE TRIXIE!
