Nitpecking - Batman v Superman · 6:46pm Mar 31st, 2016
Let's first talk about the good stuff, because there's some good stuff. I really liked Henry Cavill as Superman. The effects were decent, even though sometimes it feels like Micheal Bay took over a little, and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor was A BLAST. He stole every single scene he was in.
Everything else, I didn't like that much. This is the first movie I walked out of thinking: "That was a bad movie."
I don't like it when they bring in characters, that were never established into an ensemble movie, or movies that seem to only exist to set up another movie, which is why I'm putting on my scepticles for Captain America: Civil War.
I also think the scepticism towards Ben Affleck was warrented. He has the same face throughout the entire movie. Btw, I have no problem with the Batman costume, the bulkier look on Batman, or his more fatal way of handling criminals. This is a Batman whose actions didn't change that much over the years, so he feels like he has to act a little more extreme. I think this is an interesting concept, but Ben Affleck was not the one who should have played him. This should have also been established IN HIS OWN MOVIE.
He's also too buff to play Bruce Wayne. I think someone might eventually suspect the billionaire who looks like he could benchpress 1000 ponds.
And Wonder Woman? I didn't give a flying feather about her.
The movie was also kinda boring, except for the scenes with Eisenberg.
I, personally, give this movie 2.7 out of 5.
What did you guys think?
