So I've been quiet lately. I know I'm not particularly social, or reliable, but since I have no new stories coming up I thought I'd give a quick rundown of what made me so quiet for the last month. (Not a picture post, I'm afraid!)
Felt a bit like this for much of the time
When it comes to new things happening fast, I get stressed and anxious rather than excited. A month ago I was offered a new job in a new region (the job dropped into my lap with no warning), and I've had two weeks there now. The job required me to get my own car, which was completely stressful to sort in time (it's the first car I've driven that's actually mine rather than just one I've been insured on), and I'm still looking for somewhere permanent to live. I'm not sure how long that search is going to take.
I also have/had recurring tonsillitis, which started before the job opportunity came up and has persisted in one way or another throughout much of the month. I've had a lot of the other unpleasant symptoms associated with tonsillitis, far beyond just an annoying sore throat, so I've generally been shattered and miserable and not focused on anything other than getting through the day.
Honestly 9 - 5 has come as a shock to the system anyway, but the tonsillitis definitely made it worse. I'm feeling much better at the moment, as I'm on another course of antibiotics. Still, I'm a bit wary of the infection coming back again once the course is finished.
I'm certain I'll soon get used to having a demanding full-time job and also having hobbies (after all, pretty much everyone lives like this!) but for now I'm not paying much attention to FiM. I hear the new season is coming very soon though. Exciting!
Hope you lot are doing better than me. I really want to get back to writing, or at least participating in the fandom again, and now things have quietened down and I'm feeling better I hope to be back by the end of March. Cheers!

it's definitely not a nice illness as far as I'm concerned! So you have my sympathies for getting it very often.
Life is going to be fine, and I'm sure I'll start enjoying it soon, just need a bit of time to sort it fully and then get back to writing in my spare time. I finished reading a long pony fic today though, so I reckon I'm well on my way to feeling myself again. Thanks for the support
