Hello Everyone, here to let you know that I'm alive and well. I noticed that I've been delivering on a whole lot of nothing for the past month, so I figured I'd tell you what the skinny is on what I am currently planning.
The comedy fic is currently on hold, due to trying to make the story more interesting and funny. Right now, in its basic form, the story is a riff on the film Pleasantville, where a fan is transported inside his favorite show, and has to figure out how to get back home (or does he want to go back? *Dramatic music*). I know the whole "Brony in Equestria" thing has been done before, but it can't hurt to throw in my own take.
But, like I said, it's currently on hold. What has my 85% of my attention at the moment (the other 15% is job hunting)? A sequel to A Guard For The Queen. I am amazed by the response it has gotten from those who read it, and I can't stress enough how humbled I am that the final acts got such an emotional reaction. Right now, I'm finishing up Chapter 1 of the fic, and will start on Chapter 2 when I can. This installment will be divided into chapters, rather than acts, and it will most likely exceed the length of the original story. Once again, it will be rated mature, and I am planning on writing actual love scenes into the story, rather than heavily implying it, like I have been doing for the last two fics. I'll try not to go full clop, but a word of warning that there will be words in "Love Scene Writing 101" that will be impossible to avoid.
I originally was having trouble outlining the story, as there was an extreme lack of conflict as the story progressed. Then, it finally hit me, and now, I'm working on the outline for the last four chapters, having to completely scrap the original ending I had, and go with a radically different one. Hopefully, it will be pulled off satisfactory.
Anyways, that's what's been happening thus far. Hope to have the first chapter done by Monday. See you all later. :)
