Before I start, allow me to set the tone.
For all who are not aware, in this last week or so, the greatest educational show in the history of T.V. ended. In honor of its memory, I'd like to say a few things. Mythbusters has been around for my entire life. As far back as I can remember, my family has gathered around the T.V. and watched this amazing series based around clearing fact from fiction in the most ridiculous and fun ways possible. I was raised with the belief that science and engineering was some of the most fun a person could have, and I still believe that. Because of it, a friend and I convinced our physics teacher to create an eight foot long vacumn-powered pingpong ball cannon, and succeded in shooting a pingpong ball at Mach 2 (we covered the muzzle in velocity sensors). Today, I watched the series finale and reunion episodes, and I got to say, I cried. Mythbusters has been a steady factor in my life for fourteen freacking years, and has definently had the most impact of any show I've seen. I might have been in this fandom for five years, but I've been watching Mythbusters since AGE five. So, for everyone like me, I say thank you, and goodbye.
I will miss MythBusters
