Trixie: Just what the *yay* is she now?
As many of you may have noticed, the Alicorn Amulet changed Trixie's old "walking corpse" look, which was soooooo last year, for something else. Now, although the fic already contains various descriptions that altogether should build a (mostly) clear image of how she looks now, I think a good visual could help.
Not pictured: Wave's total lack of drawing abilities.
Now, first of all, there are three mayor features Pony Creator couldn't reproduce; Claws (three in each limb) instead of hooves, the devil-like tail (full blue) and the fangs (wolf like). The concept of this is that the Alicorn Amulet is making Trixie's body match with the dark magic she's made off now. Like the previous one, this body runs on necroplasm, only that this time, the necroplasm is not holding the remaining organic matter but it's actually what Trixie's body is mostly composed of it.
As the last two chapters hinted at, Trixie's senses also changed too. Instead of the muffled ones of her previous state, now she is very sensitive, being even able to pick a conversation in a room apart as if she was right next to the speaker. However, as the chapters also hinted at, her sight is still too sensible to light, so she will probably need her old spectrum adaptation goggles. Also, since everything is practically new, she's still figuring out the most complex tasks, like speaking or not letting her instinct take control (also known as "no jumping at the ceiling when surprised or scared). The last chapter also stated that her digestive and respiratory systems are working again.
One last detail is that the Alicorn Amulet is no longer encrusted to her chest...
It's now inside her chest. Let that one sink in.
The Mane Six's developments
Another thing that made this chapter so hard to work with was the fact that some of the M!Six's personalities changed over the last chapters and their consequences (mostly the one where Trixie dies). The most obvious one is Rainbow Dash, to whom even Trixie is surprised to see less reckless (in chapter 13 she's even calmer) and even kinda sorta mature. This is some kind of PTS, as she is (or at least feels) partly responsible of Trixie's (not that effective) death. I think Rainbow is now trying to suppress the same attitude that drove her to make the tornado that (kinda shorta) killed Trixie.
Then, there's Applejack showing herself more open minded, or at least more eager to trust in Trixie. Like with Rainbow, she also is feeling some levels of guilt, as she was the one who gave Trixie the hardest time until the party, and now is trying to make up for it being less suspicious. Something similar can be seen in all the Six. It's something I tried to make the most graphic in the scene where all of them help Trixie.
The Evil Chili from Hell
Trixie's chili is a substance that can only be reproduced to the darkest and edgiest arts ever know to any sentient being. It's knowledge was passed to her by her mentor, Emeral Archer, who used it to burn his own allies from within in the ancient ritual known as "Wednesday's poker night".
(it's Green Arrow's trademark chilli, which is spicy enough to make Superman cringe.)
