Writing updates :) and other stuffs · 2:43am Jan 24th, 2016
Hello everyone! I do hope this blog finds y'all well. And for my fellow east-coast peeps, I hope y'all are keeping warm! It wasn't so bad here in my parts, thankfully we kept power in my house, but my uncle who lives just 20 miles away lost power and many of my friends lost power as well. I went walking with my dogs out in front of my house late last night (about 10 pm EST). In front of my house is a small field that has a creek that runs down toward the back of it with lots of trees around the creek. Well, I was about 150 feet away from the creek, just walking and trying to keep from slipping (my dogs were back closer to the road) when suddenly there's this big CRASH! Either a tree or a very big branch had fallen. Scared the crud outta me. Angus barked for a few minutes afterward and Maggie shot off back to the house. I don't blame her.
My parents were out of town this weekend. A couples' retreat my church was doing at the beach (about 180 miles from home). Momma and Dad had made plans for this back in December and I ended up having to force them to go in the end. I was even packing their stuff in the Jeep! So it was just me with my bro, sis, the dogs, kitties and my grandma who stayed with us. My parents just got back a few hours ago. And they brought Doughnuts! They had fun and I'm glad they got to spend some time together.
Now for some good news about my writing...
I'm back to it! I'm changing a few things though, not much, but it will change my current story line a little bit. I'm going through the first chapter right now changing some things around and I'll do the same to the rest of the chapters I have already written. But I won't start updating on here again until mid-spring or early summer. I want to get part 1 completely finished and most of part 2 written. But I'm happy to get back to it. I really needed this little break. Thanks for y'all's continued patience with me. You won't be sorry!
