I write imaginary stories about cartoon horses.

It's actually pretty jarring for the moments when they go OoC. And a bridge still hasn't been encountered yet unless I missed it in the latest update.
3705769 My intention for the Apples being out of character is to have them learn a lesson about being better siblings. They begin the journey by arguing and not communicating and blaming each other for anything bad that happens, but develop from what they were at the beginning as the story goes on. I know they're not like that in the show, but I wanted the story to present a moral about the strength of family.
Also, I originally was going to make this a one-shot that was a retelling of the Three Billy-Goats Gruff, but I decided to make it a ten chapter story. Again, it is about the journey they take that will have them learn about strong family bonds. The troll and the bridge will appear in the ninth chapter, which is the climax of the whole story, and one that will be the turning point for the story arc involving the Apple siblings.
I hope this provides the answers.
