Long post, includes TL;DR version at the bottom
Well, it certainly has been a long time, hasn't it? Before I get majorly into the whole point of this post, I'm going to stress that it is hard to break this news to you all without sounding like a major dick, and I'm prepared for any consequence that may come of this.
The fact is, editing Devoid for the mass rework has simply become, for lack of a better description, stale. I look at what I have done, and what is left to do, and I just simply can't bring myself to do it. It seems daunting, endless, and simply as if I have been working on it for years, and the fact I lost a whole load of it the other month, which I did mention, only makes it far worse.
Now the main problem lies within the simple fact that I simply lost the enjoyment I had for the show during season five, because, frankly, it was rubbish. The show is key here. I still enjoy fan made works (fan fiction, PMVs, fan made videos etc. As for writing however, I'm not really sure since my writing time was replaced by editing.
The above means several things.
1) the Editing of Devoid is taking a break. This is 100 percent confirmed, and I definitely feel it necessary.
2) Don't worry, Devoid will see it's ending, and it will be done by me even if I have to force myself to do it.
3) Any events related to canon will be season 4 or prior. Minimal to no mention of Season 5 canon will exist.
4) I will attempt to write the next chapter within a week or two, since I'm expecting to be quite busy.
5) There will be no sequel as such. Everything I had planned for the sequel will be in the current story.
6) I am making no promise of a schedule by which chapters will be uploaded. Even the next one happening within a week or two is dependent on several things
7) The overhaul probably won't continue until near the end of the story.
TL;DR - overhaul postponed, back to writing new stuff but no promise of a schedule.
