I'm back from, what, four months? Sorry about that; school, trying to learn how to draw, and a number of other excuses, really takes a lot of time away from my day 
.
I have, however, been working on my next story. Before you ask, no, it's not True Magic 2 (sorry to say). I have been piecing that story together, but all my focus has been on a different piece that I've unfortunately hit a rather tough roadblock. It's still coming, though, it's just a slow process. It's a...very technical story. But, I got to thinking and was curious about something. I've got about ten stories (give or take sequels) that I have lined up for the future and I wanted to take a break from True Magic so that I could experiment with these other stories, characters, and scenarios. As a new writer, I'm not quite sure what my preferred genre is. But, due to the roadblock of my new fic, I was curious: how badly do you guys really want to see a True Magic 2? I'm not saying that there won't be a sequel to True Magic as I fully intend to finish what I started, it just comes down to when it will come out. I had intended to write one, maybe two more stories (pending on length and difficulty) before the True Magic sequel, but I don't want to keep you guys waiting until the next century to read it and all is forgotten about the first story. So, I pose this question: would you guys rather see the sequel posted next or later, likely after my next, new story is done? The next story will hopefully be ready (Celestia willing) within the next month or two (more or less) as I only have a few roadblocks to deal with before I start writing the thing. Mind you, I am a VERY slow writer, especially with school right around the corner. However, planing and writing True Magic 2 will likely take even longer as there is a lot more I have to do with that. Although, I would be able to slowly plan True Magic 2 while I'm writing the other story/stories so that when it comes time to write it, I'll have less to do and will likely be able to post it sooner after the next, new story is done. I suppose then, to sum it up, would you guys rather see a new story next and sooner with True Magic 2 coming out afterwards or True Magic 2 next, but it taking much longer before chapter 1 is posted? I only ask because some of you guys want to know when the sequel is coming out and, granted, I did leave a very open ended ending on the last one...I probably made that sound a lot more confusing than I meant it to be...So if you guys have an opinion on this, let me know, otherwise the next story should be out within the next month or two.

Edit: I probably should mention as well that the new story will be shorter and hopefully not take so long to write as True Magic took. Going to leave this post open for a while, a month or less, something like that. See you later!

Woo! Whatever you want to do man! Whichever story is the most inspiring for you to write is probably going to result in your best work, so go where the feeling takes you. I, for one, or possibly two, maybe five, am excited to see you back in the saddle. (That... doesn't sound right...)
