I was thinking about this. And while a lot of fics just put the displaced in the show...I think I can make an original post Season 5 story. Basically, it will start when a new villain from Tartarus escaped. I was thinking of using one of the classic MLP villains from the 80's or make a new one. Some kind of humanoid. The Mane 5 try to stop him but he is too powerful...then my OC appears and RIDER KICKS him to oblivion before he passes out.
My Rider OC will have two forms. His pony form, which he uses to walk around unnoticed. And then when he transforms he becomes humanoid.
And I got a idea on how that villian escaped. He escaped from the ripples starlight created by altering time. That means this villain has some power over time so even if your rider defeats him another temporal counterpart will be aware and sends out kaijin from various timelines after the rider and the group to test them and learn what they can do so he can know how to beat them. In other words a true villian that learns from his mistakes and gets better in terms of ability.
