    Username Change

I'm thinking of changing my username to "3Orifice" in the near future. A mishap with my Tumblr account made me lose my "Vessel222" one and I had to make a new one with that exact same username. It's to keep things constant and keep people from thinking two accounts I'm using are actually different people.

Heads-Up: Transcendence Going into M-Rated Territory.

All right, guys. I know that I haven't been updating Transcendence. But I've had to stop and ponder some stuff about what exactly's going to happen and how it's going to happen. Considering that this is supposed to be a surreal horror-type deal, I don't want to make this too boring for you (even though I might as well be a novice in the field).

Apologies for Absence. · 11:10pm Aug 18th, 2012

To all those that have been waiting patiently, I'm once again saying sorry for my sudden absence. There isn't much to excuse, but a number of issues have kept me from posting any stories (courtesy of my own well-doing).

Firstly, procrastination. I have a tendency to let my mind wander a lot whenever I'm trying to focus. It's something that isn't new when it comes to writing, and recently I've been letting it get to me more than I normally allow. There are always so many ideas swirling around in my head, and I'm never sure which one to pick first because I find them all equally good. Should I pick "Transcendence?" Should I pick "Ten and Three"? Should I pick "Wings For Mother"? Granted, I've already got started on Transcendence, but my mind's so foggy right now that it can't delve too deeply into that psychological stuff at the moment. It sucks, and it's entirely my fault. If you guys could pitch in your opinions on what I could start on first, I'd be all for it. Don't know what any of those three stories are? Check my recent story update blog for more information.

And moving on to you guys. Although there are more than one or two people following me, I only usually see exactly one or two of those same people comment on my blogs and actually show me that they're even paying attention to it. I mean, it's not much of a requirement, but it's kind of disappointing and discouraging. I mean, you guys are quite willing to comment on my stories, but the majority of you don't actually bother to chip in to give me at least a hint of advice or encouragement? I started making these blogs to keep you informed and get some advice out of you, and I sincerely thank the ones who have been doing just that. But I mostly feel as if I'm wasting my breath and that the stories themselves are the only thing you care about. Kinda harsh when I put it like that, but... yeah.

So... that's all I got for now. Until next time.

Story-wise, I'm personally most interested in "Wing for Mother". "Transcendence" could be just as good, or better, but the descriptions you've given for "Wings for Mother" give more detail on it than "Transcendence", so... dl.dropbox.com/u/31471793/FiMFiction/emoticons/shrug_Derpy_Hooves.png

About... "us"... try not to let numbers get to you. I don't know if you read comments on others' stories, but I've constantly said I'd continue writing "Love Mine" even if it had only one reader; even if only one person was enjoying my work, I'd still do it, giving that person the best entertainment I could. That, and I write for myself, too. Mostly, for me, it's the challenge of getting a story just right, trying to take into account as many little things that build into a big story as I can manage--a fun self-imposed challenge. Anything after that (like readers, favs, comments, thumbs, etc.) is icing; very, very good icing that makes me extra happy, but I go in with the mindset that the writing is all I can control, so that should be where I focus on getting my enjoyment. If I go in with the mindset of wanting a bunch of extra things I can't control--readers, comments, etc.--then I set myself for the potential of disappointment; a risk I don't have when I focus on the writing instead.

Of course I don't, and can't, expect you to just change your mindset with a few words. It's really something you need to meditate about on your own, and accept or decline on your own time. So... think about it.

I have over fifty followers, and no one comments on my blogs D:

Wings for Mother really does sound great, but I'm looking forward to all of them equally. Maybe more on Yellow? Either way, I don't care how long you're gone as long as I get one story update a year.

I'd like to see Trancendance or Wings of a Mother, but if you're still going to write that Pinkie story, I'd love it too. Wings of a Mother seems really good though. :)
