Just your average british lad. I write things for a living. It’s the strangest living you’ll ever find, second only to my inability to take myself off of the grid.

And just like that, 2015 draws to a close... · 9:00pm Dec 31st, 2015

Well. Here we are. The end of 2015. And let me tell you, so much has happened to me and this fandom over the past 365 days of yesteryear.

I've had great memories that will last forever, and moments where I was overcome with sorrow and depression. But let me tell you that this last year has been one of the greatest, not just for me, but for the rest of the Brony Fandom as well.

What did I love this year? Well, I've been to BronyCon, UKPonyCon, joined two new monthly meet-up groups to meet more friends, went to two Season 5 Parties in London, each one with lots of attendance, fun, games, drinks, and ponies. And that's just the stuff outside of FIMFiction.

This year, I've been on top of my game, constantly learning how to improve my writing to the point where I could be accepted onto Equestria Daily (Almost. Maybe?) for making such a well-crafted story with great characters and grammar.

It's also been a great year for entertainment as well. This year, I was able to see some smashing movies like Insurgent, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Friendship Games, Inside Out, Jurassic World, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Spectre, and much, much more.

As for the side of gaming, I've had a lot of fun with the games this year. We've had such great and memorable titles like Assassin's Creed: Syndicate, Just Cause 3, Fallout 4, Batman: Arkham Knight, Black Ops 3, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Mario Maker, the list just goes on and on. Most of the games this year were stunning, and then there's the crap ones that didn't make the list.

And the most important thing of all, Season 5. This year, Hasbro were on top-form with the episodes for MLP. We had some great moments from all of the characters this year, and then there's the three episodes that I mentioned previously that I fond disappointing or just plain bad. But aside from that, Season 5 has arguably been the best, strongest, and most memorable season for the show that I've ever laid my eyes on. And similarly from Hasbro was Friendship Games. I went in excited, and I came out awestruck with how well the story had been structured, how dark the concept was when the true intentions of Cinch were uncovered, and overall how spectacularly Josh Haber wrote it, and how fitting all of Daniel Ingram's soundtrack and new songs fitted the moments at hand.

This has been a year for the history books, and despite the turmoil and the enemies I've made, this has been a stunning year for me. And I have each and every one of you, my followers, to thank. You guys have all helped me change for the better, and have inspired me to keep on trucking to a better and brighter future for not just me, but for the whole fandom, and for my friends and family too.

Without you, or FIMFiction, I would not be the knowledgeable, fun-loving, helpful, or just general brony that I am today.

So to you, and to all of your friends and families back home, here's to 2016...

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
