    A cover-type image, by Ruirik.

I may be replacing the current title image with this one in the near future!

    Drabble

Pegasi had a belief. It gave way to tradition, then superstition, and finally to aphorism, but it grain of truth in it persists. That you can tell all you need about someone by the sound of their wings.

Why is there no Changeling story called...

    "All Love Is Unrequited?"

Anyway, it's been a while since I made a blog post for...various life reasons. This is mostly to check in and prove that I am not actually dead. Also that I have written some 25k words of original sci-fi in a month. I am hoping I can keep this up! And give you all a story with jovial insect aliens, sassy AIs, and a mystery.

A change of plans · 1:18am Dec 23rd, 2015

I had been working on a scifi story for a while (which was semi-interrupted by Cartography) but I was having serious issues getting my teeth into it.

I have decided to mothball the scifi story and started work on a fantasy one instead, partially inspired by my work with the Apotheverse and the nature of godhood and divinity there. In a week and a half I've written as much as I did on the scifi story in six months so, seems to be going better (admittedly, I'm not too far into it yet but still). I don't know if it's going to have anything that can carry back into pony fic but hopefully it'll be fun to write regardless!

People often say, "if you're not having fun you're not doing it right." Writing is always work, but I don't think it should ever be a chore.

sounds like fun, i hope i get the chance to read it

Hmm! That's good to hear! I know I always feel better writing SOMETHING even if I'm not making real progress on anything. :)

Love your worldbuilding and characters. Is this something you might publish somewhere?

3637694 The intent will be to publish it like my previous novel, on Amazon.
Assuming it gets finished. That's what I plan, but I can't always get a story to work.

Oh good,
I'll have another book to sit next to your first.
