Moral of the Story: Sequels & Reboots Make Money. [Spoiler Warning] · 4:29pm Dec 21st, 2015

So a couple days ago, I saw this:

And this is my summed up thoughts of the whole thing:

It. Was. AWESOME! I mean, holy crap it was good! Well, I enjoyed it. Speaking of which, I've been seeing people here and other places saying they were dissapointed or didn't like for some reason or another. If you're one of these people, I just have this to say to you:

Seriously, how miserable does your life have to be to not enjoy this?

Anyway, thoughts.

Favourite character? Finn.

The Stormtrooper turned amatuer lightsaber wielder makes his debut realising what a poor career choice the First Order was and helps the best pilot in the Resistance Poe Dameron escape after being captured by Stormtroopers and Kylo Ren. After that he meets up with Rey (who's probably going to be trained to become a Jedi by Luke) and helps destroy the Starkiller base, saving the galaxy from the First Order's most powerful weapon.

Speaking of which, Kylo Ren.

He's definitely no Darth Vader, as he's prone to tantrums and wrecking torture chambers and terminals, but he's still a force to be reckoned with. He's a bit like prequels Anakin but (hopefully) not shit. In J.J. we trust. To him, Vader is like an idol, even talking to his half melted helmet, religiously even, to have the power to banish the light and crush his enemies.

Have I also mentioned that he's the son of Han Solo and Leia Organa? Because he is. And he also kills Han.

Eeyup. Stabs him straight through the chest after Han tries to bring him back to the light like the heartless, worthless, piece of filth he is.

Sorry, it got a bit emotional when he died, and I wasn't the only one. There was literally applause in my cinema when Ford stepped onto the screen and someone on the front row screamed when Han got stabbed. I'm not joking, we English take this shit seriously.

Anyway, the character I want to see more of? Captain Phasma.

For a character of her magnitude, we see surprisingly little of her abilities. I have a feeling she's being saved for later films and will possibly be the Boba Fett of the sequels. We shall see.

And everyone else? Awesome. We saw Luke at the end (which is whole plot of the film by the way, to find him) as he simply looked at Rey in silence as she offered him his former lightsaber which was also his father's. Then boom, orchestral ending music. Certainly leaves hanging.

Anyway, that's all I have to say. Go see the film, it's brilliant. And even if you've never seen the other Star Wars films, it's still enjoyable.

The Stormtrooper turned amatuer lightsaber wielder

I stopped reading here because I realized there were going to be spoilers. Then I was going to complain to you about spoilers, but I saw "spoiler warning" in the address bar. Holy crap I'm tired.

3634069 That's okay, happens to the best of us.

i just hope that the next 2 movies build off of what was started in 7
so much was laid as a base, but not much development took place

and i cried too omfg

They fucked up the naming and trashed the extended universe I was so attached to.

Other than that - opinion as yours.
