Taking me longer to get the second chapter of TEOE assembled than I expected after bumping into a few points that were hard to give an authentic feel. Iron Hoof and the smith Firm Anvil have what I think are interesting personalities now, and motivations behind their actions.
Fortunately, I'm getting close and am on the final scene. Of course, it's also the most complex and intricate, so it has it's own concerns. The good part is I have it mostly laid out for what I'm intending to do, and it's more getting the details assembled. It actually surprised me when I found the connections to other parts of the story as I have.
I'm hoping the last scene is done this weekend so I can get my editor giving it attention. Barring unexpected writer's block, it should be done before X-mas.
