Season 5 Finale Fanfics

Something I need to write down to immortalize it:

Since the Season 5 Finale aired, I'm counting the number of fics that get written for it. And in the first two weeks since the Season 5 Finale aired, with last Saturday, the amount of fics for it reached up to the breathtaking number of 111 fics!
111 fanfictions..... for one episode..... in two weeks.
Saying that the Season 5 Finale hit the fandom like a bombshell would be a gigantic understatement.

Now the massive output of fics for the Finale, aside from multi-chapter fics that aren't finished yet, has died down. The first wave with the mentioned 111 fics ended on Saturday. No new fics were written for it on Sunday, followed by a second, short wave with three fics on Monday, followed by one more fic, that started Wave 3, yesterday and three more today (= 118 fics in total).
But the number of fics for it that was written before the decline started..... It's unbelievable. Never would I have thought that so many fics would get written for one episode. It's the highest number of fics for a certain topic/episode that I have ever seen written in this fandom.
This fandom's creativity is an unbeatable force. No other fandom writes so much, with such a multitude of creative ideas!
I have noted some fic ideas for the finale on my own. And one more is still in my head and I need to see the episode again to validate something before I'm considering to write it.
I will write something for the Finale a bit later, currently, my two Cutie Mark Crusaders fanfictions are still more important to me, especially "The Strange Case of Dinky Hooves' Cutie Mark Curiosity". As well as the truckload of other fics I want to write for "Crusaders of the Lost Mark".
But sooner or later, I'm going to write down some of these ideas. I won't miss that bandwagon, even if I'm jumping on it late.
