So, Love Conquers Stupid has been denied again, reasons being that it is, apparently, "It is not readily apparent that this is a new story". The mod who rejected it suggested that I simply add it as additional chapters to the original story. Problem with that (besides the fact that I'd have to throw away a perfectly good naming convention) is that I don't want LBS to stretch on for forty chapters. It's already long enough as is, and I don't want to turn people away from it. I kinda really need LCS to be its own thing. So, why am I asking you?
Because I don't know what to do to make it more obvious that it's a new story. It seems obvious enough to me, but, hey, I don't make the rules. I just follow them. So, if y'all have any advice on how to remedy this situation, I would greatly appreciate it. Like, seriously, I don't know how else I'm gonna be able to post this. So, if you wanna actually read LCS (or see me not go insane), your help would be nice. Thanks, people.
I wish I knew a way to solve the problem here, but I'm afraid i don't know enough about this site's conventions to provide an answer to help you. that said I do want to see this story. it would be a shame to mess with LBS as well. i understand the idea of folks shyin' away from a story that long (even if you adjusted the labels the parts somehow to account for it...), and i really like the titling you have for the Sequel on top of it. I wish they'd let it in as you've set it up.
I don't really get how it could be considered the same since your first story had a definite ending and wrapped up all nicely. Adding on to it would only weaken that ending.
If anything, I would try to have the next story start off a while after this one, and make it clear that there's a new conflict they're going to have to overcome. Unfortunately, there's not much you can do to fight a ruling like this. If you don't mind my asking, who was the moderator for the story? I'm just curious.

3614662 Very helpful. I think what's going to happen, sadly, is LBS' extension. I'm gonna sleep on it and see if I can't devise a better solution, but that seems to be the only option. I can't think of a way to make this seem more of its own thing than it already is. It's not ideal, but it's better than not posting it.
3614701 It may not be ideal, but yeah, it's certainly better than us never getting to read it. If anything, I would just rename the chapters in the original with a prefix of some sort before the current names, to let everyone know those are from "part one".

I'm probably going to get in trouble, and this is rather underhanded... but what about submitting it under a different name and after approval changing it to LCS?
I mean, if it's sufficiently different of a story (and it sounds like that's where you were going) it should be fine right?

3615066 I considered that momentarily, but I realized two very important things, those being A) C'mon, that's lame, and B) I'd rather not get banned from this site forever. You know how I feel about this site, and how much I love it. It's not worth risking just so I can have my way. I'll just add it as LBS chapters, alter chapter names so that it's in parts, and hope its length doesn't turn people away (that's what she said). Thanks for the concern and suggestion.
