So you all know my position on blogs, for the most part I only use them for important events and issues regarding stories. This is one of the rare exceptions that I'm using it to go nuts about something, mainly because this one is important. Why is this game important? Because it's Ace Combat 7!
This is one of those mythical titles people talk and joke about. It's not exactly up there, and there's been plenty of AC releases in the past years, but the main addition is the real thing people look forward to! Back in the day they used to come out more often; 2001, 04, 06, and the last one was 6 in 07. So, this coming year will mark a 9 year absence from the main line of the series, and with how focus was shifted to the real world in the spin-offs, I think a lot of fans weren't sure we'd see it. This is basically my Half Life 3, and I think the feeling goes for a lot of others in the community.
I really can't describe how exciting this is for me, I'm still trying to process it! It also can't be understated how important the series is in my life, as it was a big factor in giving me a love of the air and convincing me to try and fly. This past year has been great for games, but not even any of the actual releases got me this much enjoyment. This is surpassing everything for me this year. Not the buildup and amazing release of Fallout 4, not the vast amount of joy and satisfaction Phantom Pain brought, nothing.

So yea, if you haven't looked into the series yet, needless to say I'd highly recommend it.
