20 something college student with massive amounts of ideas, very little free time, and is slow as all fuck on updates. Sounds like the perfect combination to me.

    First Impressions: Cutie Re-Marking

Well, MLP did what it does best: pull off an awesome season finale! Out of all of them, I think this one’s my favorite, even more than “Twilight’s Kingdom”. And let’s be honest, we all knew Starlight Glimmer was going to come back, it was friggin’ obvious. However, the fact that she was easily able to change one of Starswirl’s most complicated spells kind of reeks of bullshit. But, definitely the

First Impressions: The Mane Attraction (Really? -_-)

Well, that one was surprisingly entertaining, even if it’s the second time in a row they’ve used a stupid pun as the title. Also, hello ponified Lady GaGa, nice to see you here. I kind of like the message in how the music industry works nowadays, how it’s more about “Spectacle” (BTW, pretty catchy song) than making good music. Also, obvious antagonist manager, gee, haven’t seen this particular

First Impressions: Hooffields and McColts (Ha, Ha, horse puns -_-)

No, I didn’t forget to do last week’s episode; long story short, I didn’t have much to say about “What About Discord?” so I skipped that first impressions. Now, onto why we’re here.

    First Impressions: Scare Master

No, I didn’t forget; I’ve been pretty busy with school stuff, plus some… medical issues, so I’ve just barely seen this episode. Since it was nowhere to be found on YouTube, I had to record it on the TV and I didn’t get to see it until after I got off work at 10 (Dailymotion can go suck the Omnissiah’s clockwork taint). Now then, onto mien thoughts!

    First Impressions: Hearthwarmers

Welp, I’m back, and hopefully by doing something productive, I can keep myself from going quiet. Yes, I know it’s a little late in the season to be doing this, but, I’ll see what other things I can react on in time.

But, definitely the most interesting part of the episode was the alternate timeline thing. I’ll admit, I’m a big sucker for the genre of alternate history/timeline, as evidenced by my love for Bioshock Infinite. I love the idea of changing one little moment in time change the entire outcome of history. And a lot of these alternate timelines were really cool, and I might use a few for fanfics (as half of Fimfiction has been doing since the finale premiered).
However, before I spend the rest of this gushing over the alternate history stuff, I have to talk about Starlight Glimmer. Her backstory is just kind of “meh”, as it feels really… unrealistic for Equestria. She knows how cutie marks work, and the fact that this sunburst guy went to Canterlot to study magic shouldn’t have surprised her. And her redemption after Twilight’s speech feels really forced, plus it doesn’t feel like she deserves it. She’s done some pretty awful things, like her cult and the fact that she was willing to screw up the future in order to satisfy her own petty revenge scheme. Song’s annoying too, so that’s a bonus to how much I don’t like the ending.
Eh, I’m done rambling. Despite the fact that I didn’t really like the ending, I still really like finale. What did you guys think? Let me know.
As for what I’ll do now… dunno’. Maybe I’ll find something else to do first impressions on until the next season, maybe not. I’m currently in the process of applying for Rage Reviews, so that’ll hopefully keep me busy. Until next time, I’m the Stallion with the Metal Hoof, stay classy.
