I saw it as a thought challenge for me.
When I watch the show, I scrutinize and see how it fits into my headcanon. However, this provided me with three alternate timelines.
Despite Twilight saying each was "worse than the last", the "Changelings Win" timeline seems honestly to be the best out of all of them

I loved the first 2/3rd's of the episodes with showing the alternate Equestria's, but that last third...........
God it was BAD.
Starlight's reason for doing what she was doing was so weak. It was like oh my god someone knocked over my sippy cup and now i'm super sad and hate the world. I expected there to be alot more to it than "My friend left me cause he found his talent". That ending needed ALOT more work and was god-tier rushed. Overall I give it a weak 5 out of 10.

The finale was good.
Like... there are A LOT of things that have pushed through because of this. Small things.
This was a different kind of finale, and gives again so fucking much room for new stories for the following seasons. The finale made me excited for what's to come, and that's an important thing in my book.
Problems with the finale? Quite a lot of lazy writing and rushing at the end (plus the rest that every nitpick is able to find out), but that's what you get when you only have 40-or-so minutes to do a properly written, very large subject involving "episode". TBH people bitch way too much about it.
Now there was something I like about the finale, not sure what it was, but it made me enjoy the finale. I'd even go as far as to say that this is my second favorite from the list of season finales and premiers...
