In which, once again, I'm not disappointed by a season finale. A good time travel stories that makes fics come true. What would've happened if the Mane Six weren't there to save the day? Of course, one villain would takeover and the writers show all of them! The implications are dark and entertaining and while I wish each dark timeline were more elaborated on, I'm not disappointed overall. Every villain is top dog due to the butterfly effect and the implications that some of them even overstepped each other are frightening. I mean, Sombra and Nightmare Moon's return were said to be inevitable. What the hay happened to have one or the other prevail? While I was perfectly satisfied with Tirek (Never a guy that thinks ahead that one) I was expecting Discord's timeline. I mean, we saw it a mile away. Badass Pinkie Pie and Maud? What? Also, let us talk of Starlight Glimmer. She's a great villain. A villain that feels so human it hurts. Perhaps the most human of them. A villain that was turned like because of loneliness and isolation and I'm sure the sequence hit home for a lot of us. It did for me, for sure. In fact, the fact that they now might be The Mane Seven (Plus SPike) makes me giddy inside. An heartwarming song and montage that is supremely opmistic and supremely adorbz. See ya for Season Six! Meanwhile, there will be fics galore!
Best Episode: Crusaders of the Lost Mark. I was tempted to put in Slice of Life but the feels factor and the overall importance can't be overlooked.
Best New Character: Starlight Glimmer! Great villain: Great resolution: We hope a great friend.
Best character: Diamond Tiara for receiving buckloads of character development.
Best Song: The Pony I want to be.
Best Background Pony but speaking because of SlLice of Life: Octavia.
This season definitely did see its share of interesting episodes; and thus the wait for season 6 begins.
I would say a Main 10, Inluding Startlight Glimmer, whom I now believe has the potential to be Twilight's Student and eventually an Alicorn, the 3 Cutie mark Crusaders and
the original mane 6 - 10 in all, plus, Discord making it a full 11, plenty of power to fight off the worst enemy, who knows what the future holds? what epic stories that now await us? I Predict season Six to be epic.
And now begins what we all dread...
