I mentioned earlier that i had a rant blog over a rejected story coming up. which is rare because I am not one to cause drama with the mods of fimfic.
This is the blog I'm going to have to do it
So, I was bugged about the sequel for First Date, the Sequel to Save The Last Dance for me and I thought thanksgiving would be a great opportunity to continue the series so i wrote it, had Dustypwny read it and suggest edits and sent it thanksgiving morning. It was within a hour or two i received this.

It wasn't the first time this has happened because it was used in April for my latest chapter story All Summer Long.
I dismissed it the first time because i understood: new guys tend to follow the guidelines a stricter than the people who have been there for a while, i got that in my line of work.
But since this was months later and for the same reason and genre, I realized it was not no rookie mistake.
So, i guess i can break down this steam pile of bullshit labeled as a explanation and see why i am not digging it, more specifically this line
As a general rule, if you can sub out a few names or vocabulary terms from your story and be unable to tell that it’s a My Little Pony fanfic, it is not considered to be related enough. If you have plans to add chapters in the future which will more closely connect this story to MLP
First of all, that is subjective as fuck, fam.
Second: OF FUCKING COURSE YOU CAN SWAP VOCABULARY AND NAMES AND MAKE IT NOT PONY, HOW THE HELL DO YOU THINK THEY TURNED A TWILIGHT FANFIC INTO 50 SHADES OF GREY!? IF YOU SWAP ENOUGH AND THE RIGHT NAMES OR VOCAB OF COURSE YOU CAN DEEM IT NOT PONY!
Third: if you can deny a story for not having enough characters and cheap fanon ebbin maymays in it, THEN HOW THE HELL IS THIS GUY STILL GETTING HIS FUCKING STORIES ACCEPTED?!
So fine, I worked on it. dusty and I played their dammed little game and fixed it nice and purty for them, because the established writers and moderators know best for everyone else, right? I mean lets be honest: there is a HUGE disconnect on what writers and reviewers want from other writers and what readers want from writers today. Writers want the boring technical shit like structure, prose, and that stuff but the readers want to be entertained. they don't care if one story is missing this or there's a hole in the plot in that, they just want to read and be engaged.
Anyway, so we submitted a day late, and killed the point of having a Thanksgiving fic a day after thanksgiving and waited.
Then here came Meester, rejecting the story for his ole buddy there.
So I give up, I tried my hardest. I don't want to escalate this and risk getting banned by bugging knighty about it because I know there's a good chance he might take their side, though I might link this blog to him though twitter and hope for the best.
Anyway, here is the story "Harvest Day" with comments on. I hope you all enjoy.
As for the future of the series, I will have to write another one shot to continue it, wont I? ;)
Update: because of the comments and suggestions and edits in the doc, i will fix it to their suggestions and resubmit, I dont want this story to just die

I've seen plenty of fics get approved where they could have easily gotten rejected on the exact grounds cited here. Yeah, this doesn't reflect well on the mods.
That is straight up bullshit. I have seen tons of stories on this site that are pretty much non pony stories and those fuckers not only get accpeted but also featured.
That applies to 99% of the shit in the feature box. Lets take My little dashie for example. Remove Rainbow Dashs and replace her with..... Lisa Simpson. There its no longer related to mlp. This is the fucking worst excuse ever. The mods on this site are sooo picky and they do this all the time and yet they approve shit stories about tentacle porn, Stories about the cmc being raped, Thousands of stories where 1 of the mane 6 goes to earth and mlp is barely even mentioned. I can think of 5 stories off the top my head that are oc only and not based in Equestria so they can take that excuse and shove it up their arse. This site is perfect the thing that ruins it is the picky ass moderators.

3575677 There is a bunch of human oc only stories as well. Take away the names and they are just a human, The approval system on this site is unfair and very selective. Its like one of the admins gets butthurt over romance stories or things based around Equestria girls. This site used to be great but its getting worse and worse as time goes on just like the rest of this fandom.
I got the same response from Cheshire when I did Aria and the Geek, which was rejected. I revamped the story to Aria's Challenge, and Eldorado approved it. I think after seeing this, somehow this guy needs to have his Story-Approver license revoked, because he got it around March the 18th. Anyone else got something like this?
Honestly I think you should bring this to Knightly's attention. The mod clearly was looking for any excuse to not post the story. I get the "rule" they use as an example, if say changing the name of the character from Twilight to Sara would cause a reader to never know it was an MLP story then yea, its not really an MLP story. But the thing is, I've seen stories where they arnt in the same universe, they arnt ponies, and they don't even have the same names. The only connection is that they, very loosely have the personality traits of the characters they are based off of. And granted they are good stories but they arnt MLP stories, yet they got past moderation.
