    Howdy, y’all.

I’ve been silent on FimFic for a very long time, and this blog post has been a long time coming.

    What an incredibly bizarre feeling...

I just binged the entirety of DEVILMAN Crybaby, and while the somber tones of the ending where still settling in my brain, I turned on the first episode of Cyborg 009 VS Devilman.

    Medieval Coroner Reports

On Saturday, August 9th, 1298, a candle on the wall in a small shop in Oxford fell onto the floor and ignited the straw flooring. John and Alice Trivaler, the husband and wife operators of the shop, that was also their home, rushed out of the burning building; however, no sooner than when they reached safety, to Alice's utter horror, she remembered her infant son of only four weeks was

    Huh... I was there...

I slipped and twisted my ankle during this storm and spent three depressing days snowed in a hospital. And that was when I discovered Fimfic.

Never knew it was a part of meme history.

...and didn't call her the next day.:rainbowderp:

I was going over my notes and previous chapters of AGOK to make sure I didn't miss anything. Whelp, it turns out I made a little error in the latest chapter: Porthos (and the Unexpected Lesson in Friendship). I have made a small change to fix it. In case you've already read the chapter, you can get a short explanation below.

Spoilers below. (duh)

You still here? Okay.

In the first release, Porthos said he teased Hauteclaire as a form of horseplay, that he was mimicking the King. This is wrong.

While Porthos did think the King and Hauteclaire had a rather bizarre relationship centered around sharing verbal abuse, the relationship between Porthos and Hauteclaire wasn't that way.

Below is the changed dialogue, clarifying that Porthos was unaware as to why Hauteclaire was mean to him.

“Why do you hate me, Hauteclaire?” Porthos slipped his fat fingers inbetween the bars and pulled himself closer. “Ever since we gained consciousness, you’ve been cold. You avoid me when possible, and when you can’t you bite. Have I ever done anything to wrong you? We’ve been at each other’s throats for so long, I can’t even remember why we started. I thought we could be friends.”

“Friends? Friends? What do you mean ‘friends’?” Hauteclaire stepped to the cage and thrusted his finger at Porthos. “We’re not friends nor will we ever be, Porthos. Or have you forgotten how much you torment me?”

Porthos chewed on his lips. “But, the King, he…”

“THE KING?” spat Hauteclaire as Marcus grabbed him by the shoulders. “He treats me like a filthy mongrel! He sends me on the worst missions. He torments me every chance he gets. He has made my afterlife a living hell! What about the King?”

Porthos flinched back with a loud clunk as his head bounced off the stone roof. The hurt and sorrow in his eyes grew as Hauteclaire stared him down. “Well, I thought the King was just messing around with you. You bit as hard as he did. I thought that--”

In summary: Porthos doesn't remember if he did anything to upset Hauteclaire and has done nothing more than return the unwarranted hostility.

I hope this makes more sense.
