And for the love of god, please DON'T tell me in the comments stuff like "This thing doesn't even get any hate at all" or "This thing is loved/overrated enough". My top 10 lists all come from my EXPERIENCE and OPINION. You're not the one who decides things based on what I'VE seen. So please don't tell me what I should or shouldn't have added.
I'm not pointing fingers to the sane haters who respect other people's opinions. I'm only talking about the really immature haters who act like they're offended by someone liking something they don't. So comment maturely. Also, sorry for all the swears.
#6. Minions
Yes, I'm going there too. I feel that the Minion hatedom is slowly turning into the Frozen hatedom (which I'll get to later). They completely freak out when they see ONE piece of Minion merchandise. Seriously... I've complained about Minions being overrated and advertised onto odd things, but NOT just when they're being marketed on completely normal products (the ones that EVERY franchise does the exact same!). And there are those people who take pride in BURNING their Minion toys like it's some kind of ritual as if the Minions are brainwashing/mind-controlling people like they're the Illuminati or some shit, which they clearly aren't. They're just a bunch of FICTIONAL yellow CGI blobs, nothing more.
#5. Johnny Test
Well honestly, this isn't one I can talk about much. I'm definitely not defending Johnny Test since I've never seen it. Mainly because of some of the bad feedback I've heard from the show, and I mean the LEGIT, MATURE negative responses, and not those absolutely batshit rabid haters who take it WAY too far. Do you really need to draw 800 shitty MS paint hate art pictures just to express your hate towards ONE CARTOON? Because you're totally acting SO mature bashing a fucking cartoon character that isn't even a real person. Hate a cartoon sooooooo much? Then don't watch it, don't talk about it, and don't bring it up, hypocrite.
#4. Equestria Girls
This speaks for itself, and the hate towards Equestria Girls is one of the things that made me dislike the Brony fandom more than I did before. It's more or less the exact same thing that happened when Twilight became an Alicorn. I can understand that not every Brony likes the Equestria Girls movies or the basic premise of them... IF they have actually a GOOD reason not to. You guys asked for a My Little Pony movie, you already draw a shitload of humanized pony fanart, but when HASBRO decides to do those things themselves, you fucking throw your temper tantrums because you can't deal with a simple change to your favorite franchise. (I've heard once that some Brony made a fucking PETITION to get Hasbro to NOT make Equestria Girls. Stare) Why are you even surprised that Hasbro is using Equestria Girls to promote toys to little girls? Hasbro is a TOY COMPANY, how else do you expect them to make money?! My Little Pony has ALWAYS been a huge toy ad even since Season 1 of Friendship Is Magic, and it always will be. In fact I'm pretty convinced this is where the whole "love and tolerate" motto completely died. It's no wonder Bronies don't use it anymore, not after the way I've seen how some Bronies have insulted others just for LIKING Equestria Girls. Disbelief

"BAAAAAAAAW FROZEN IS DISNEY'S MOST OVERRATED CASH COW AND THEREFORE THE WHOLE MOVIE SUCKS FOR THAT REASON. IT DOESN'T DESERVE ITS OSCAR OR BEING ONE OF THE MOST SUCCESSFUL MOVIES OF ALL TIME BAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWW". Look who's talking. Popcorn I get that Frozen is overrated, its overexposing of the movie and the songs can be annoying sometimes, and I've seen people (as few as they are) who actually have a legit reason not to like the movie by story standards. But you know what's making Frozen even MORE overrated? The hypocrites who keep bringing up the movie in the FIRST place just to complain about it. Don't even get me started on the people who for some reason compare EVERY movie in existence to Frozen. And I actually mean EVERY. FUCKING. MOVIE. They've compared Tangled to Frozen, they've compared Wreck It Ralph to Frozen, they've compared The Lion King to Frozen, they've compared The Lego Movie to Frozen, they've compared Big Hero 6 to Frozen, they've compared How To Train Your Dragon 2 to Frozen, they've compared Inside Out to Frozen, I've actually seen someone compare WATERSHIP DOWN to Frozen. :iconstareexplodeplz:
Alright, WE FUCKING GET IT. You don't like a certain Disney movie, no need to use EVERY OTHER movie you like just to make it look bad! And just like the Minions hatedom, people whine and scream simply when they see Olaf's face on ONE piece of merchandise. Seriously... why is selling merchandise of a popular movie such a freaking horrible, unacceptable sin?! When a movie is successful, OF COURSE its success is going to be marketed on merchandise! If you're annoyed by seeing merchandise of Frozen, then you should just as well tell Disney to stop marketing every OTHER movie they make. I've legit seen someone on deviantART say that one of the reasons this generation sucks is because of "Frozen maggots". No, I disagree!
#2. Ginga Densetsu Weed
Yep... also one of the reasons I put Ginga Nagareboshi Gin on my "top 10 worst fandoms" list. Particularly the YouTube GDW haters are the worst. Whenever I view any GDW-related video anymore, I just avoid the comments section like the plague. Why? It's simple. Every fucking GDW-related place I went, all there were in the comments were people moaning and arguing about how Ginga Densetsu Weed is such a god-awful horrible sequel and that Ginga Nagareboshi Gin is god. Seriously, if you absolutely HATE Ginga Densetsu Weed THAT much, then here's a simple question: why are you even LOOKING at GDW-related material in the first place? What happened to "don't like, don't look"? I personally dislike Ginga Densetsu Weed Orion, but you know what? I just stay away from any GDWO-related stuff and don't get involved in it since I don't like it, and I just let the fans enjoy it if they do. It's not even that hard. Hell, even people who clearly HAVEN'T even seen the series yet give it backlash! There's also the hatred towards the main character, which I don't even want to begin with.
Here, just for the record, have some fine examples of the unbelievably immature and rude GDW hatedom:
-There was a certain YouTube user I've seen who did nothing but bash and troll GDW and its fans on every Ginga Densetsu Weed-related video she could find. Her username was literally "GNGownsGDWsucks"
-A certain DA user commissioned four drawings from another artist, and ALL of them were hate art of Weed getting brutally mutilated to death in different ways (even with Hougen CASTRATING Weed in one of them). Seriously, you would go as far as PAYING someone to draw FOUR different pieces of hate art of a FICTIONAL dog? This guy needs a fucking hobby.
-I've seen someone label Ginga as one of the worst cartoons he had ever seen... ONLY because he found the animation and art style ugly and that he thought Weed's name was a reference to marijuana. This is a guy who had clearly never seen the anime.
-A rabid GNG fangirl saw the opening theme of GDW and didn't even KNOW that Ginga Densetsu Weed was the SEQUEL to GNG commented "Wtf is this shit? Some kind of Ginga Nagareboshi Gin wannabe?" because she thought that GDW was some kind of random knockoff of GNG without getting her facts straight first.
I actually have MORE examples of the biased hatred towards GDW, but I've covered those enough in my journals and defense essays, so I'll move on.
#1. My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
Just the show as a whole, including (or not) Equestria Girls. Good lord, where do I even begin with this hatedom? They're basically just every other hatedom on this list, just a thousand times more extreme. I've complained plenty about the rabid fans, but what do rabid haters do? Just about the same thing as the Minions, Frozen, and GDW hatedom. They claim they hate the show SO MUCH, and yet waste their OWN time looking at pony stuff just to whine and troll the fandom. They complain about ponies being overrated and rubbed into their faces, yet they bring up and talk about the show more often just to complain about it. They claim that they're so "manly" just for hating MLP and not being a part of the Brony fandom, yet they freak the fuck out just when they see one hint of a pony. All in all, the worst things the rabid MLP haters do is completely bash the fans and the show horribly, stereotype all Bronies as perverts/pedophiles, abusing words like "ponyfag" and "autistic" to insult them, they freaking act like Bronies are the new Nazis! And the worst part? Some haters actually MEAN it! SERIOUSLY, how are simply fans of a KIDS' SHOW just as bad/worse than MASS MURDER towards a whole race? Bronies can be annoying, yes. But that doesn't give YOU a free pass to wish for genocide against a fucking fandom of animated candy-colored horses. The worst insults I have ever received on the Internet are from rabid anti-Bronies, that alone says enough. I've been called an "autistic fuck" and a "horse fucker" and that I'm not old enough to be on YouTube just because I have a fucking picture of Rainbow Dash in my avatar.
MLP is not a disease, MLP is not the 9/11 of all cartoons, MLP is not trying to eat up the Internet, MLP is not mind-controlling people to like the show and gain popularity, MLP is not the end of humanity. It's just an ANIMATED CARTOON, an animated cartoon that only YOU rabid haters are pissing your pants over.
I... actually like Equestria Girls and I pretty much laughed when the fandom reacted the way it did. We finally get humans and they were creative and this is how we thank them?

4) really don't get the EG hate, it's pretty great. Well, actually I do understand why people might not like it so much, but some of the complaints about it are just ridiculous.
3) Upon reflection, I realize Frozen is actually a better movie than I remember it being, I must admit, I think I let the fandom and the horrible villain mess up my whole opinion of the film. Well, that and the fact that it eclipsed Tangled in popularity, which I consider one of my favorite films. But I admit it's still a pretty great film.
1) Honestly, the pony hatred has always confused me more than any other. It's people like those who say "Men can't like a little girls show" that make me doubt the world. As a gamer, I've already seen my fair share of BS with people saying you can only like a specific kind of game or else your not a real gamer, and as for the gender exclusivity idiots, don't even get me started

But it sadly makes some level of sense that things like Frozen and MLP would get such massive hatedoms, if we're applying similar logic to the one in video game critique. According to what I've seen, the most malicious, nasty, and vindictive attacks come whenever a game critic gives a game a positive review score. DMC: Devil May Cry, MW 3, just to name two examples, one guy praised both those games and got so much hate for them, it was ridiculous.
And that's the logic I'm seeing here too, the larger a fanbase of something is, the nastier the hatedom is going to be, which makes me wonder. How bitter, does a person have to be to take offense at someone else enjoying something, what's the logic that goes through their head? I have to admit, I'm morbidly curious to know...
Minions- I really don't get why some people would these adorable little things. Burning the merch and complaining about seeing about little toy of it? WTF?!
Johnny Test - This show was my childhood. So I can see why some people would hate it. some would say they hate the artstyle, the characters and their personalities, and the way the way they show some morals. But in the end just leave it alone if you hate it damn.
Equestria Girls - One reason they hate it is because it's part of the mlp fanbase (go figure). Another I would guess is the first movie... Lets not talk about it. But the other movies and it's characters are very well written. But because it's related to mlp they hate it...
Frozen - The movie with my most hated song yet I still like the movie.
People say its overrated only because its loved by a lot more people than they think should like it. Plus comparing Frozen with other movies like the Lion King?! You can't compare Lion King with any movie! Though it's story maybe somewhat similar to The Lion King. If you don't know what I'm talking about look up the honest trailer of The Lion King. Then look up the Frozen Honest Trailer.
Ginga Densetsu Weed - Now I haven't seen this show yet. But what I've been hearing about it on the web is a lot of hate only because of "Weed" in it. Since its a characters name, people hate it and the anime cause they though it was related to marijuana. Now I looked it up on what it looks like and I can get why some would think the art style is 'ugly' but at the same time I don't get it. Plus it's an anime of dogs?! Freaking Dogs?! How can you hate on dogs?!
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic - Alright the juggernaught of hatedom. I really don't get why they would hate this show so much. Because grown adults and males liking it? OK so girls liking basketball, anime, cartoons made for boys and other things are alright? But males liking mlp or LPS or even anything girly is not? Quite the double standard. They only see the surface of what it is and they don't know what potential it has. The animation, the characters, the writing (mostly) are some of the best i've seen in a long time (and I've watched anime since I was 6 so I know good animation). But many can have legit problems with the show or the fandom. One example is the obvious product placements, which I kinda hate as well. Another is us just saying we loving the show non-stop. It's like them saying "THE SHOW SUCKS" to us. We hate hearing them saying hate too much and they hate us saying quote on quote the "same" thing to them.
But in the end if you hate them just leave them be. Don't be a douche and burn our faces for liking it.
Minions- oh dear lord...stop with the minions already really? its getting out of hand in my book now and everytime i go to check something such as information i see a bunch of minion stuff that clearly began to creep me out
Johnny Test- I got no issue with the show, its quite funny though even some of the momments are...bleh brain hurting
Equestria Girls- I get it that some fans view EG as an obomination and liking more anthro than equestria girls but come on, its the company decisions to make it and if wasn't for the fans for making it cooler it wouldn't make it into friendship games movies. I feel like we entering a brony civil war between fans who like Equestria Girls and Fans who love Anthro pony more. I mean tell me if i wasnt wrong about it, we feel like into a civil war.
Frozen- This...this petty crap that being...being for soo long just because fans liking the fandoms soo much, it...give me a BRAIN FREEZE! yeah! learn to let it go fans! because frozen is done!

I completely agree with you. I see all of those "Everything Wrong With" videos, and they critique every little thing just to say they don't like it. I love EQG, it's well animated and that's how Sunset Shimmer was introduced. Also, I didn't really care when Twilight became an alicorn, I felt like it wasn't that big of a deal.
Yes. Again, I completely agree with you on this. Also, this is a major part of why Twilight became an alicorn. Everyone got pissed at Larson for turning Twilight into in alicorn, even though it wasn't. They turned Twilight into in alicorn to promote more toys, not just because Larson wanted to. He just wrote the episode for it.
This is why I quit the brony fandom for a while. I got a few "hate comments" in reply to youtube comments I left on other videos, and I was sick of it. Sure, I only left for a short while, but it still pissed me off, because "love and tolerate" was the reason I joined the fandom in the first place.
