The Finale: Preview and Thoughts *spoiler alert* · 6:33pm Nov 21st, 2015
I recommend you watch it and then read below for my thoughts, should you wish to know this little tater's musings. I'll put some spaces between to make it easier.
*AHEM* Allow me to repeat a line from this little preview to get this started....
"Starlight Glimmer plots revenge...and only Twilight Sparkle can stop her."
Me looking at the video:

ONLY Twilight Sparkle??
And you see a very angry looking Pinkie and Fluttershy that look very, very angry.
So. The main protagonist of the series and her little assistant that is only rarely ever given any sort of credit but has been invaluable in helping her these past years, are going to be the stars here. I realize this is nothing to be surprised of. Like I said, Twilight is the main star. Of course she gets the limelight in every big mlp event.
That's why I was so thrilled when Fluttershy was the one who got to spy on Starlight Glimmer in this season's opening episodes. It had a good blend of all the Mane Six, and they all got to help make things right. It even highlighted OTHER ponies that paralleled the Mane Six.
And I had hoped that would be the case with the finale...That they'd all go back in time and set things straight. Looks like that won't be the case. Move over, girls. Twilight has to strut her stuff and save you all. Oh, yeah, and Spike can go too, I guess. He can provide a witty comment or something, that's always nice.
Codename: Kids Next Door--a show that I've loved forever and wish for a comeback--did the same thing with Numbuh One, unfortunately.
And I was actually sort of hoping for Fluttershy to get more screentime in this one. We hardly got her at all this season. Actually, Rainbow Dash didn't get a lot either, did she? Yes, I just checked...She got "Tanks for the Memories", "The Lost Treasure of Griffonstone", and was the victim of Rarity's investigation in, well, "Rarity Investigates!" Fluttershy got a big role in "Make New Friends but Keep Discord", and had the episodes "Scare Master" and "The Hooffields and McColts". But tbh, "Scare Master" and her map episode disappointed me a bit. They were good, but so many episodes this season--such as today's new episode, which was totally amazing to me--had so much heart. Hers did not. I know not every episode can be like that, but still...And I feel that "Scare Master" was just bait to tease with Flutterbat again.
--But hey, there's always a season where one or more of the Mane Six didn't get as much time as the others, so I'll be nicer about it.
But COME ON!!! THE FINALE???? GIVE 'EM ALL SOME LOVE FOR ONCE!!! TWILIGHT SPARKLE IS ALLOWED TO NOT BE THE SAVIOR OF THE DAY, OKAY???? THEY CAN ALL KICK BUTT TOGETHER IF THEY WANT!!!
Why do they make Glimmer target just her? She and all her friends messed things up for her! WHY WHY WHY
I really hope this episode proves me wrong. I really do. I'm sure I'll still like it, because the shows usually do pretty well with finales, and it IS always pretty cool to see Twilight go all super-saiyan, but...Please, give all the girls some time to shine, please...And not just in the last minute to help the magic of Friendship make things right again.
I totally agree with you! Yes Twilight is supposed to be the Mane of the Mane Six, but seriously, the others have done almost as much as she's done (why almost, is she knew about the elements, and they came together because of her, but after she became princess, they haven't had much time to shine in the 2 part episodes) and Spike needs to add more than the comic relief!

Like I said, I'm sure I'll still enjoy the episode, and that preview was literally only 33 seconds, and I've liked most the finales so far. I was just complaining about one thing, don't take it too seriously. I'M SO SORRY AND ALWAYS BE CAREFUL OF WHAT YOU WRITE ON EQUESTRIA DAILY BECAUSE IT WILL JUST MAKE YOU FEEL BAD FOR EXPRESSING A NEGATIVE OPINION

As an addition to your miffedness, I would like to add that I hate that it will be two parts. Why not one long special? I mean no one is going to be gripping their seats for a week. People will work, go to school, play, have life happen. All your doing is watering down our suspense over the week. Hitting with a special double-feature block would be SO much more effective and less frustrating.

Perhaps they will show Discord before his reformation? If Stalight wanted to throw Twilight into the dimension where Mane6 didn't get their cutie marks, then he should still free himself on his own like he did in Return of Harmony. The events of RoH and Keep Calm and Flutter On would just never happen.
