Still lurking. Still existing. Don't worry, hypothetical people who actually care.
The past few months have been really, really rough on me. My cat died quite suddenly, my father's health is declining, and I've been coping with depression. Between all of that, I just haven't done much on fimfic. I haven't abandoned it, however. And, hopefully, that will change just a bit over the next 2 months.
Season 17 of UGC Highlander (competitive TF2) just ended. My team got 8th in the Silver division. Next season doesn't start until January. It's freed up a chunk of time, and I'd like to spend that writing. I have a lot of stuff to write, so odds are that you won't see much for quite some time, but hopefully someone might be happy to know that I'm still plugging away at the dream.
For the story I'm currently working on, I've split it up into broad arcs. An extremely rough estimate has an arc being between 50,000 and 80,000 words. Part of me, with seeing what happened to The Errant Sun, wants to have the entire thing written and ready for publication before a word of it reaches public eyes. The other part doesn't want to toil in a void for potentially (at my glacial rate of writing)) years without feedback. A solid compromise would be publishing arcs as I finish them.
