The Monky Does Germany · 2:40pm Nov 18th, 2015

I’m finally ready to announce this publicly! I’ve been planning this trip for months but have been honestly terrified that it was going to fall through somehow but it looks to finally be official. I’ll be spending the month of December overseas with one of my best friends and proofreader ShyYoungBrony. We’re also going to ComicCon with two of my other friends who I’ll finally be meeting in person. “Giddy” seems an appropriate word.

Anyways, back to work,

Have fun man.

If I could recommend: Bavaria. Their drinking laws are weird, but their food is to die for. It's also just a hop skip and a jump away from anywhere else in Germany, since it's southern Germany. Also, history museum in Dresden.
Cologne (Köln) is also a great place to visit. It's actually all just great.

Thanks!

I'll run them past Shy, see what we have time and money for. Either way it's gonna be great.

3551573 Yah, I went all over Germany last summer, and it was just wonderful. Depending on where you are, I can probably suggest a few other places as well.

3551917 German friend here. We're gonna stay in Lower Saxony (south, smack dab in the middle of Germany) for the most part, but we'll go visit family in Bavaria for christmas, so that's already planned and should also cover a good bit of traditional Bavarian food.. Drinking laws are pretty lax everywhere, and I already have some tasty stuff stashed here (honey mead for example). We may stop by Nuremberg for the chistmas market which if I recall correctly is the biggest either in Europe or the world. The first weekend actually takes us quite close to Cologne as that's where CMN's friends live, so we may plan a visit there seeing as I haven't been there myself yet.
Dresden I cannot fullheartedly recommend at this time, seeing as there are a couple thousand racist idiots protesting against refugees and common sense every monday and the atmosphere is pretty heated, but we'll see.
If you jave any more suggestions, go ahead and I'll see what I can do. I'll also make sure the Monky posts a couple pictures while he's here lol.
Proofreader and German out

3561307 I just tried to order in 18L of mead from Der Met Mann, but then I found out it's apparently illegal to do in my province...
Not really much else I can recommend, unless CMN like history stuff.
