Para talks: MLP FIM Season 5 Episode 22: What about Discord · 10:42pm Nov 7th, 2015
So, What about Discord? Let's find that out!
So, the show starts with Twilight saying she need a book-sortcation. And she tells Spike it'll take three straight days.
Alright, that explains Twilight's absence
Also, HEY! IT'S OWLISCOUS! (yeah I know, I didn't spell it right.)
So, theme and the Twi and Spike leave the library as the 3 days are up.
Discord and Rainbow show up and talks as if they rehearsed it.
We learn that they were only messing with Twi
But, both Twi and Spike found it weird,
They go to Rarity's and Discord is there as well. Even Fluttershy shows up and. .
oh mai
SHE CRACKED A JOKE?!
Yep, Discord did something! He definitely did something!
So anywho,
Twi walks past Sugarcube Corner and we learn that Aj and Pinkie also bonded with Discord.
Back at the castle, Spike tells Twi she's jealous of her friends and Discord.
Twi says she isn't jealous but Spike doesn't look like he bought it.
We then get our game plan of the rest of the episode: Find out what specific things happened over the weekend.
We then go somewhere outside and Twi has everyone (including discord) there.
She begins to explain about friendship stuff. After everyone agrees, Twilight says, "Let's start with the Snake."
This causes Discord and RD to burst into laughter.
We learn that they were helping in the Apples garden when something that looked like a snake, or was a Snake, had been spotted and everypony galloped away from it.
. . .
I suppose that is something you had to be there for.
Twilight comes to that same conclusion and Pinkie asks if Twi is suggesting Time Travel.
Also, that git up she had there, correct me if I'm wrong, but was that a reference to Back to the Future? Futurama? I dunno. I just know it's a reference.
Anywho, Twi says absolutely not, and tells the group to simply re-create the scene.
Uh, Twi, I don't think that'll work.
So, they start by going to the lunch date that started everything.
After a minor thing about tables, they eventually sit down.
Discord and Rarity notice that the table cloths aren't the same color as last time so Discord changes it and tells everypony that if even one thing is off, the equation is ruined. Stating that Twi said so herself.
So everypony starts suggesting things to change and we get. . .
Discord tap dancing with PB jars on his claw and hoof.
Twi sits there looking glum again and Discord tells her they've exhausted everything to recreate that weekend.
Then Discord points out a very good point, that Twilight was there when she shouldn't be.
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
Twilight thinks that instead of a good weekend, something awful happened to her friends.
She comes to the conclusion that Discord put them all under a spell.
This could end only so well.
Twilight visits Zecora. HEY Z! I HAVEN'T SEEN YOU SINCE SEASON 4!
And Zecora doubts that Discord had indeed put them under a spell. So she asks Twi what she's seen that would suggest a spell.
Twi says it's because they laughed with Discord.
Zecora agrees that a friendship with Discord is surprising. But maybe they shouldn't interfere.
She gives Twi a potion just in case, and Spike wonders what's in Zecora's cauldron. Z explains that it's just for show and now she leaves for another season.
BYE Z!
We then go back to the castle.
Twilight has invited all of her friends and tells them that they are going to have fun today and before they do they have to drink the potion.
OH WAIT! I KNOW HOW THIS WILL END! THEY AREN'T UNDER ANY SPELL!
Also, Twi, let me tell you about subtly. OFFER THEM A DRINK! BUT HAVE THE POTION INSIDE THEIR DRINKS!
Anywho, Applejack is all 'Say what?'
Twilight seems to be acting crazier now and thinks her friends know that they are under a . . . OKAY I AM LOST NOW
Are they, or are they not, under a spell?
Suddenly, everypony starts defending Discord. Even Rainbow. . . wow.
And we learn that there wasn't a spell when Pinkie flat out chugs the potion.

Also, Discord shows up in fishing gear, and the PB jars.
Twilight finally breaks. And she starts ranting.
Twi gets some tears and everypony says it's okay to be jealous.
AJ gets onto Discords tail after learning that he encouraged the group to not invite Twilight.
AHHHHHHHHHHH OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
THATS WHAT IT WAS!
Discord was teaching Twi about Jealousy!
GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!
Anywho, Discord falls back on the old jokes and for once RARITY speaks my mind and says that these jokes have run their course.
And so, a new memory about Twi's mistake is made. Everypony laughs.
Discord is now in Twilight's spot as he wasn't there during the potion thing.
EPISODE END!
Y'know. It should've been called 'What about Twilight?"
But, beyond that, I have to admit I liked the episode.

The time travel thing was a Doctor Who reference, Twilight being the Doctor (he travels through time a lot, but meeting oh, say... five of his companions twice at the same time would be 12.5 violations of the 1st Law of Time.) and her friends being the companions. (Possibly Discord as the Master?)
