Spoilers ahoy, so don't click beyond the cut if you haven't watched it yet.
Didn't think this was the most hilarious episode- puns are fine but I felt like I was being beaten over the head with them. Make New Friends But Keep Discord was by far the better episode.
However, I still enjoyed it. Favourite moments:
-Bob Ross Discord
-Discord flies in a streak of plaid
-Applejack's "fertilizer" insult.
-Subtle Fluttercord with Discord pulling a chair out for the lady.
-Doc Brown Mad Scientist Discord
-Discord petting Twilight in a patronizing manner and causing her horn to flop about.
-Discord's fake frown
-Mini Smooze on Discord's fishing jacket.
-Spike being jealous of Discord referring to Rarity as "dearest."
I'm sure I'll be able to squeeze a fanfic or two out of it. :D
I also doubt Discord is going to be this fluffy for long.
I found the episode to be hysssssterical!

I found this episode to be a entertaining one with the "Back to the Future" jokes such as Pinkie Pie dressing like Marty McFly, a few subtle Fluttercord moments, some I think differently about, and Discord's humor throughout the episode.
I give this episode a 9/10.

That was the only thing I took pleasure out of this episode. I had such high hopes that Fluttershy had something to do with this by helping Discord out with being friendly and opening with the other ponies; but I guess this was a callback of Star Trek's Q trolling about theoretical life lessons or... whatever
Also, Rarity receiving the endearment 'DEAREST'?!!!
If anything, the title 'dearest' should be deservedly directed at the very pony who reformed you, you ungrateful...

I laughed at Spike's jealousy at Discord calling Rarity 'dearest'. Wouldn't be surprised if Discord called her that just for that purpose.
I also really loved Twilight Magicking up a little orange for Discord when he started feeling left out. I friendship those two so hard. Can we please all agree that Discord is really just a huge fangirl that wants Twilight's autograph?
I agree about the puns. Wasn't very funny. Hopefully Discord will do a bit better next time.
I hope we see him again soon! I'm having post-episode sadness because who knows when we'll see him again???

The tiny smooze is part of "What about Bob?" again, as Bill Murray's character carries around his goldfish around in a jar around his neck.
And yeah, Discord is definitely desperate for Twilight's attention. It doesn't matter if it's bad or good attention...he wants it NOOOWW

Good gosh you're RIGHT about Rarity.
I swear, the more this show goes on, the more I love Rarity. Fluttershy will always be my fave but Rarity really shattered my original perception of her. I didn't really like how she corrected Spike so icily on the book, but she's not perfect and it's not like she dislikes him so I love her. I think she's actually super maternal and caring.
Favourite moments for me:
The shedding and peeling theme of the transitions from snake / orange respectively.
Discord mistaking Apple Bloom for Granny Smith. When called on it, saying "all you Apples look alike."
Twilight's rubbery horn.
Evil top hat & twirly moustached Discord.
The transformations into the ponies that Discord does.

Discord's expressions really got to me. Not just the ones that were clearly meant to be ridiculous. Sometimes, he'd just talk or laugh somewhat normally for him but it'd be at a new angle for the show and I'd just geek out!
And as always, Discord on all fours is just adorable!
So, is mum the word yet? Has Discord gotten darker with his chaos? Probs not. Maybe season finale? Safe time travel seems right up Discord's alley. Wait no that's a terrible idea
3527779 I was wondering what it would take for Discord to win Rarity's friendship. A weekend on the farm magicking fruit does not sound like it would do it. But properly courting her best friend like a gentlestallion? Yeah, that would do it.
I think if Discord didn't convince the others to not invite her, and rather, it was her choice when her friends asked, the lesson would've been better. I mean, I've made choices to not hang out with friends, but felt bad when I didn't quite get the jokes they made about what happened the next day (though I accepted it better cause, you know, they had fun, I can't be upset over that). She still made the choice even without them asking, but if she thought she could've been included but didn't anyway, it could've been stronger.
Other than that, I still liked it. Could've done without all those puns, though.
Discord screwing with Twilight's head all while giving her a lesson is something I just totally love. I think he likes messing with her best because of her reactions. She's fairly bad at handling some situations, and he knows those weak spots. I liked this episode exploring Twilight's flaws, as I've felt the show hasn't been doing that as much recently.

God I would just love it if he was in the season finale, but I'm not holding my breath. I'm guessing the two partner JDL referred to is season six material.
A showdown between Miss Equal Butt and the Spirit of Chaos would be just perfect though.

If Starlight Glimmer went after Fluttershy (since Shy was the one who foiled her plans) she would certainly incur his wrath and that would be a way of bringing dark Discord back while still having him as an ally. But it won't happen! I'm not gonna be disappointed, nope nope nope!

I only know because people screen capped it. It's the scene where Twilight calls a meeting to figure out why her friends enjoyed time together with Discord. Starlight is by the bridge in the background
