No budget means no degree for me · 2:12am Nov 3rd, 2015
So I might not be to finish my degree if Rauner gets his way...
After nearly 4 years of college for a chemistry degree, I was eventually diagnosed with BP, anxiety, and panic attacks and had to withdraw from school before I tried to off myself (again). After a couple years, I'm in a better place with the help of medications, but now the universities I could transfer to might not be able to remain operational by the next academic year. Education is important to economic development, not just the flow of money. Businesses want educated people. They tend to know more than those without college educations.
Apparently Rauner thinks that's not important. I agree that Illinois is a stink-pit no matter what, but education is not (or rather, shouldn't be treated as) a business. Even if it were, what business is going to succeed without knowing its budget?
Rant, grumble, ramble... Illinois is fucked up. It is now and will be for the near future to say the least, ruiner Rauner.
Or is it ruinee? Ruinete?
This state ... oh man will I count myself lucky when I'm out of it. Just because we share a border with Iowa here in the Cities doesn't mean we're free of all that corruption and morass.
