Seariously while it was kind of interesting I think they may have gone a tad overboard with how they portrayed Pinkie's family, especially after what they showed during her cutie mark story. It is interesting though how each of the Pie sisters was shown to portray a different emotion as well as some confirmation that Pinkie and Marble are at the very least twins, though my headcanon is going to say that all four of them are quadruplets now. 
Not overly much else to say though I do have a bit of a question of how rich/poor the family really is. From their lifestyle they seem to be poor, but judging by what they do they obviously own the property so they should be pretty well off with what is in the mine. Of course that does fit the general theme of how little things make sense based on relativity. The Pie family is rich but looks poor, Ponyville looks like an olden town with modern technology, Canterlot is a castle town while Manehatten has skyscrapers.
