7 years after New Town, New Beginnings
The day has finally come; Thunder Bolt and Sea Breeze’s wedding. A glorious occasion it is, the two are surrounded by friends and family. Still by her side is Sea’s loyal canine companion, Angus, now a silver faced pooch that still attempts to chase Bolt up trees.
The honeymoon is a wonderful, and fun, time for the newlyweds and several weeks later, Sea and Bolt discover that a new addition will joining their little family. In approximately eleven months.
Sea never wanted foals. As a teen she would tell her parents that they would not be getting grandfoals; they would be getting grand-dogs. But now, it looks like Bass Tempo and Amethyst will indeed be grandparents, to a foal.
At first, Sea is worried. Would she be a good mother? She adores the foals of her friends and sister-in-law, but would she be able to care for one of her own?
As time goes on, Sea opens up to the idea of becoming a mother and she and Bolt anxiously await the arrival of their foal.
The day arrives and everypony is overjoyed, especially Sea. She adores her new baby filly and looks forward to the years of raising her.
But when tragedy strikes, Bolt finds himself a single parent. Overcome with grief, he leaves his daughter in the care of Sea’s parents and leaves town.
Sand “Sandy” Dollar has grown up surrounded with love in Equestria’s friendliest town. She has the best friends a filly could ask for and a loving family, blood and honorary and a certain colt that has caught her attention. However, her world is turned upside-down when her father comes back to Ponyville after thirteen years.

I am super excited for this story! Publication date is set for November 28, 2015 with the first 2 chapters and then weekly updates until completion. I'm expecting that it will be at least 25-30 chapters, if my outline goes as planned, but as I've said before, that's hard for this crazy redhead to pin down
