Best advice ever for new writers

For those of you who do read what I put out, I have some good advice. a very old friend of the family told me it... and I am just going to translate it for you.

"Dont try to win over your haters, you are not the dumbass whisperer" (<--- that was the advice, the rest is a rant =w= )

Its a very valid piece of advice. Some people hate because they want to hate, its not because of you or your quality of work. Its literally because they get off on it. They want to hate because they are too mentally deficient to obtain endorphins through anything constructive or generalized happiness. Literally something is wrong with their brains and they cannot be happy. Trying to win them over just makes them happy because you are dragging yourself down to fail to make them happy, and this is something that makes them happy, you have to ask yourself. Is the happiness of one person who hates you and exists solely to hate really worth ALL of your happiness and well being?

A friend of of mine was basically hated off the site. I didnt notice for a while, I just thought he went silent for a bit and I took a leave of absence. But I noticed today that he was gone. And I knew people always bullied him on this site. Hes gone now and none of us can find him again. We can only hope he is ok.
over the years I have seen people driven to both suicide and homicide because of bullying.
I just wanted to say, for a group and following that goes to the ends of the earth to claim to be so pure and righteous and stand so firmly against bullying, I have noticed that some of these people on Fimfiction can be the most condescending cruel and demented people on the internet. Granted the cases are few and far between, but still.. it does not excuse the culture that develops here. Not just the complete and utter lack of understanding of the word morality, but the elitist culture that forms up at the top and tries to stomp out anything that is strong enough to climb up on its own.
There are people who should be ashamed of themselves, and then there are those who should probably be bullied off the site. Then again, love and tolerance right?...but hell... I am probably just talking to the air. No one cares about morality. No one cares about what other people feel unless a third party is willing to take notice of the second party to shower it with praise for "doing the right thing"
My faith in humanity is at an all time low...
