I spent a month making the new costume story, turning derik into soarin like people wanted. i even made it a comedy. I stayed up late night, waking up hours early to do so, and so far it wasn't worth it, so now im bummed out and wont be writing for a while.

I only just read it, but apart from some errors here and there, it's a really good story. If people say that it sucked, then they suck! Just because they say that it wasn't good doesn't mean that they're right! You don't need to post stories, yet you did. And that's because you want to, And I respect that. You didn't write 13,832 for nothing, you wrote 13,832 words of what you believe in, and that's all that matters. While it is nice to get positive feedback, doing what you enjoy is what's important. All the stories you have written are from you (excluding collabs). I might just be spouting nonsense, but if this helps, that's all that matters.
Also, I thought that the third costume story was awesome.

T'was not a waste of words! Them 13,000+ words were most enjoyable! DO! NOT! STOP!! Don't matter the ratings (just look at some really good stories that receive massive downvotes not because of quality but because of haters *cough cough* TCB *cough cough*). Dearest *ahem* Blood-Spatter17. *puffs cigar* Surely you must know that such types of literature, though poorly rated, are merely stepping stones. Each new chapter written has portrayed ,and thus shown myself, that you as a writer are devolping as a writer. This development in itself is a joy to bear witness.
One such as myself, could never dream of writing and putting ones self in such a position of bearing the "brunt" of "societal" expectations.
To conclude, as I stated in my previous comment, good form sir. You have done a phenomenal job and have stood by your work thus far. Good form.
