Para talks: Season 5 Episode 19: The one where PInkie knows. · 6:13pm Oct 17th, 2015

I want to start this by saying CALLED IT! I SO FRIGGIN CALLED IT!

So, we start off this episode with Mrs. Cake asking Pinkie to take a special order.

Pinkie reads the note to find out that Shining Armor and Cadence are having a baby! I CALLED IT! IN YOUR FACE LIGHT!

Mrs. Cake returns and tells Pinkie that it's top secret.

Pinkie begins to fret about this on her way to Twilight's castle. She bumps into Rarity who asks her what baby she was talking about. Pinkie avoids the question.

We get to Twilight's castle, where Twilight talks about Shining and Cadence coming to visit the next day.

Pinkie ends up saying everything that Twi was going to say, earning her some looks from her friends.

We learn that Twilight wants help collect a few of Shining Armors old things, and the girls agree to help.

We go back to Sugarcube Corner, where Mr. Cake asks Pinkie to make some last minute deliveries, much to Pinkie's distress.

Pinkie runs into the Crusaders, and then Fluttershy.

Fluttershy says that Twilight was wondering if Pinkie could bring some snacks to the castle for the visit. Mentioning 'baby' carrots.

Pinkie freaks out then leaves. And. .

Wait. . .

*looks again*

WTF?!?!?!?!?! Why do I see an old gender bent Flutters next to Flutters?

Anyway. . .

Pinkie is finally alone, only to see the list in Gummy's mouth. Pinkie states she has four things left to do. .

Which apparently includes balloon animals. She makes a baby bottle for Scootaloo. Then Featherweight. . SPEAKS?! He speaks?!

This causes Pinkie to freak.

Pinkie then finishes filing papers for the Mayor. The mayor then describes Pinkie's problem word for word, asking if Pinkie knew how it felt.

Pinkie says no and then the Mayor says 'me neither' to herself.

Mayor. . . what are you hiding?

Pinkie fixes one of those things. . here let me get a picture:

Apparently they are called 'sky dancers'.

Anyway, she fixes one for a crib store.

. . . . really?

Pinkie gets to the castle and learns that Shining and Cadence are held up, and might not make it till tomorrow.

Pinkie can't handle this, and her friends finally ask what's up.

Pinkie starts to go insane, seeing her friend's heads turn into balloons. (Did anyone else think Spike looked like a zombie during that?)

Pinkie just about says the secret when Shining and Cadence show up, allowing her to sigh in relief.

So, the group makes their way down the hall and Shining falls back to Pinkie. Apparently he knows Pinkie knows and tells her he's surprised she kept it this long. He tells her she has to wait a little longer though. And that it'll be worth it.

Lemme guess. . . . she won't be able to?

The group then goes to the town square, apparently to meet Shining and Cadence. We learn that Shining went gaga over Twilight's surprise for him. And freaks at the comic Spike burned.

Twilight said that Shining and Cadence hadn't walked over with them because they had a few things to take care of.

Pinkie nearly blows the secret, and Rainbow wants a hayburger.

Twilight finds a scroll in the fountain statue's mouth, saying that they're going on a scavenger hunt.

The first clue takes them to the Foal Free Press at the schoolhouse. The second takes them to town hall, (to look at AJ's birth certificate, AJ isn't a fan of this). The girls fawn over how cute AJ is in her picture. AJ blushes and turns the certificate over. Apparently the Mayor was holding the same secret as Pinkie.

The third clue takes them to the furniture store. Pinkie goes in and comes out with a cradle. The last clue takes them to Shining and Cadence at Sugarcube Corner.

Twilight wonders where the prize is, and Shining says it's a different kind. Cadence tells her that all the places they went had something in common.

Twilight starts working it out and Pinkie is trying her hardest not to say it. Twilight finally realizes what is implied and Shining and Cadence reveal that they are having a baby.

And my respect towards Pinkie is well earned.

BUT! She finally bursts after this.

Then a party starts.

Cadence congratulates Pinkie on keeping it a surprise and asks if it was any trouble. Pinkie says it was a piece of cake. Then as the screen did the circle to black, Pinkie looked at the audience and mouthed 'no'.

HOLY COW!

As far as episodes go. . . the last one was definitely better.

I liked this one. . . but I expected it so the impact was lessened.

Now all I want to see is the new baby. . . but I feel as if we won't get to see until close to the finale.

Anyways. .
