Status Update

I've been inactive lately. Here's why!

Reviews
I'm still working on reviews. I'm hoping to get another chapter of Past Sins read this week (though the fact that it's the longest thus far is slightly daunting for providing commentary).

I've been making notes for the rest of the Petriculture Cycle, so I'm hoping to get reviews of them up within a few weeks.

The Shadow Wars Corresponce series will be continuing soon. I decided to try and finish the series before reviewing anymore of it, which explains the delays on that front.

There's also a few other stories which have caught my eye recently, and which I'm planning on reviewing, either as part of another on-going "series" of reviews like Shadow Wars Correspondence or PhD in Rockology, or as "normal" reviews... I just have to start scheduling time aside for them again.

With Halloween coming up, I'm thinking of doing a review and a live blog in the spirit of the season, though no promises on either of those fronts.

I'm also hoping to make my Rage Review debut at some point, so if you guys like that group, keep an eye out! And if you aren't in that group... I really recommend joining it, because it's great.

Writing
This is the main thing that's been keeping me busy lately. I've decided to double-down on writing, since that's the main reason I joined this site in the first place, and have been working on some stories this week... so I thought I should give updates on various projects I've mentioned to people.

-Like Magic
My current story, and it's an EqG fic. Thanks, Friendship Games! Anyway, progress is going pretty well. I'm trying a different method of outlining and writing for it, and it seems to be working, so I'll probably keep using it in the future... I'm finishing the last chapter of the first "Act", but I'm planning to try and write at least half the story before I start posting it.
(It also needs a lot of editing because damn is this a rough draft.)

-Stable 501
A Fallout Equestria story. I'm probably going to work on this next week as a break from EqG. I've mentioned this idea to a few people; it's sort of like a mix of Fallout Equestria and Bioshock in tone, though I don't want to give away too much of it yet.

-The Golden Age
A Sunset Shimmer adventure story; it's an idea I'm really, really excited about, but I've only started outlining it, so I probably won't get started on it until next year.

As for my current stories? Well, Fleet is going to be Incomplete for a while longer. I'm really proud of it, and want to give it a satisfying conclusion... so I want to try and improe my writing, in general, and then finish it off as it deserves. Daring Do and the Perils of the Platinum Palace will also be finished, but I don't have any immediate plans for it.
