First thought: Never split the party!
Chapter 7 is in editing with Chapter 8 in the works. I actually had almost three whole chapters done when I re-read them and thought "What the hell am I doing?" delete
The current Chapter 7 is pretty close to 9,000 words, but resin and plastic miniatures are taking up a lot of my free time. Been painting quite a lot more than writing because I've been gaming weekly with them and it bugs the shit out of me that they are unpainted, primer covered, or partially built.
Second thought: Nurgle protects.
Yes that is a chaos space marine in mishmash armor wielding a Tau Rail Rifle and riding a horse painted up like Shell Shock. I run the model as a Nurgle Lord on a bike. First game out, she turns into a daemon prince after killing a lowly sergeant in a close combat challenge. 
Next bike horse to be painted is Mudpie.
