Some thoughts on the last two episodes · 11:29pm Oct 4th, 2015
I finally got around to watching the last two episodes.
The writers seemed to have stepped up their game. So far the second half of season five is much stronger in character development and story. We are getting more solid episodes, and it's renewing my faith in the show's creators. Not that there was ever any doubt.
Below aren't too many spoilers, but I'll put a break here just to be safe.
It seems Made in Manehatten is the last of the onslaught of Rarity. I love Rarity and all, but there are other ponies in this show.
The episode was alright, it wasn't terrible by any means, but it didn't stand out. Maybe because the two before it were some of the best episodes we've gotten in a while.
Just keep teasing us Hasbro... just keep teasing us.
Brotherhooves Social on the other hand, surprised me. I saw the teaser (I thought it was something else and clicked on it) and was thinking oh great this is going to be bad. Except it wasn't; it was a very touching and endearing episode—especially if you've ever felt like you were loosing touch with a younger sibling.
I love how no one bought the disguise, but he kept up the charade. Apple Bloom in a jar was pretty funny.
Jar fillies are best fillies?
Did they have to make Apple Bloom so annoying in the beginning? She's my favorite of the three... Oh well, that's my only complaint for this episode.
Well, there you have it. Some thoughts on the last two episodes.
My thoughts exactly, still it was nice to see Coco again... now Trixie, yes? Or more Rarijack... please. Also the moral was great.
Oh yeah and I think many people forgot, it was a really good Applejack episode.
Well for me it is my middle niece... almost word for word from Big Mac's monologue at the end applies to me.
Also I loved Sweetie Belle's reaction because it is exactly what I thought as well.
Though I was actually half hoping that Cousin Orchard Blossom or whatever was an actual pony who coincidentally had a striking resemblance to Big Mac. Still it was great to see the first episode to focus on a male pony be really really good. Dashie was a sexist dick though, further evidence of canon PinkieDash... or she's a fanatical feminist. I like the first choice better.

You weren't the only one to think that, but to me, the character was too ridiculous—even by cartoon standards—to be real.
Yes, we need more Trixie! She has a much bigger following than Coco, who was cute as ever.
3447319 I suppose so, still Big Mac remains the manliest of ponies.
Trixie is fun, there is no reason to leave her out of the show... unless she is getting her own spin-off series with Moon Dancer... "Trixie LulaMoon Dancer!" Yeah, I'll ship it. Not as much as Twixie or TwiDancer, Moonlight... Dance Dance Twivolution? Darn it Twilight stop being so ship-able.
