My Actual Thought on Gun Control · 9:46pm Oct 4th, 2015
It seems like a shit wreck right now. I really don't appreciate how Obama sees taking away guns as something good. If gun control is passed, we won't have guns, but some will. And by some, I mean scumbags who'll kill and threaten. I like this country, America, but it seems like it's getting a little wacky and crazy, and is scaring me. Gun control isn't gonna work. School shootings? Obama says take guns. Others say have more officers and give teachers guns to be more safe. Guns are deadly, we all know that, and they can sure as hell put an impact, but the in Gun Control, the bullet isn't coming from the gun, it's coming from the government. We're gonna be doomed if that happens. I only hope politicians get this place in good shape. Economy is doing pretty bad, right now. 
Personally:
I'm pro-gun. That is, I think we all should be allowed to carry firearms and whatnot.
HOWEVER
I get the need for control. I do not like those right wing conservatives who are willing to sacrifice safety for constitutional privilege. At some point, you have to compromise freedom for order.
Allow guns, yes.
Background checks, yes, especially mental ones, because crazies should not be allowed to carry.
Give teachers guns, maybe. If one starts shooting up, kids die, but the other teachers would at least have guns to fight back.
The way I see it, you don't get rid of a problem by banning something. Gun control does little to stop killers; it stops civilians, and encourages more killing. You get rid of a problem by cracking down hard on the people, not the object. Remember, it's not the gun that kills; it's the person. Guns are tools; people are evil.

3442985 Amendments to the Constitution can, under the right circumstances, be undone; the only major example thus far is Prohibition, but if it can happen once, it can happen again.
Myself, I'm quietly hoping that between the economy and all of the various problems that have been coming up, the Democratic Party falls out of favor. Its progressive policies are causing far more trouble than they're stopping.
3442983 I agree with you on that part. Background checks should very much be checked. If a person has committed any crime, like ANY crime, he/she shouldn't own a gun. And yes, the mentally insane shouldn't have guns, too. Plus, perhaps a test? A test that'll give you rights to own a gun? I just want this thing to be clarified and have less political crap ruining lives. They're good, it's just they try too hard to be good.
