Yes, I too saw Friendship Games. T'was quite the positive experience. Found it quite enjoyable.
Now, I must say it hasn't rekindled my spark to write pony... yet. It did move me to write some for another fandom I lost some love for, so I don't doubt the motivation will come. In fact, I'm already throwing around ideas.
Now, I have this rather old piece. By the Daysong, maybe you've heard of it? Anyway, for the negative three people who still follow and care, would you like to see me clean that up, or would you rather me start anew? Either way, with luck, skill, and divine intervention, ponies will rise again.
The movie was indeed quiet enjoyable. I'm glad to hear that it could inspire you to create!
As for By the Daysong, you do what you feel is best. You're the author, and your own personal satisfaction regarding the writing is paramount, I believe. I would love to see it finished if you ever felt inclined or inspired to do so. (Though don't force yourself. If you don't enjoy writing it, don't write it.)
