    Six Years on FIMFiction

Today, April 28th, marks six years of me being on FIMFiction and it's been an amazing six years. Thanks to FIMFic I've made many friends on here and even met my amazing fiancé, Glacier Wind, through FIMFic and hopefully in a few years I'll be able to celebrate a decade on here.

    The Final Chapter

Tonight I'm proud to say I've started work on Chapter 30, the final chapter of The Rhythm of Love. Once I've completed the story I'll begin work on a sequel which has yet to be given a title. And as soon as I stop being lazy I'll have my fiancé proofread and edit the few remaining chapters. I'll also do an AMA regarding the story and characters once the story is complete.

The Future of The Rhythm of Love

Hey there everyone. So as I'm sure you saw, I posted the new chapter tonight after a bit of a delay that I explained in the author's note of chapter 25. After much time and consideration, I've decided that I'll be concluding the story within ten chapters. That's not to say it won't continue though. I'd like to make it into a series of stories that'll work through Swing and Fang's entire lives

    A Special Announcement!

So for the last almost two weeks, I've been on a vacation. First I went up to Canada to see my amazing boyfriend Glacier Wind. While there we went to a bunch of places that gave me a few different ideas for stuff to include in my stories. I also took some pictures to show everyone.

Pilot Profile: Captain Hooves, Derpy D. · 1:47am Sep 24th, 2015

Date of Birth: June 12, 1958
Age: 29
Rank: Captain
Mane: Blonde
Coat: Grey
Eyes: Yellow
Marital Status: Widowed
Children: Dinky Hooves (Age 9)
Current Unit: 332nd Fighter Group, 99th Fighter Squadron

Medals: Good Conduct, Equestrian Air Medal, Bronze Star, Distinguished Flying Cross

Derpy "Ditzy" Doo Hooves was one of the first mare pilots to qualify to fly combat aircraft; but she was initially turned away due to her eyes. But with the help of her friend Rainbow Dash, who used her pull as an officer, Derpy was able to pass her exams and begin pilot training.

But there's more to Captain Hooves than meets the eye. Born in Cloudsdale to a middle-class family, she endured torment by her peers in school due to her lazy eyes. During her second year of high school, the family relocated to Ponyville where she was welcomed by other students.

One of these students was third year student Steel Hooves who was the son of Ponyville's blacksmith. Derpy and Steel showed mutual attraction to each other and they were engaged by the middle of their final year. The two were married shortly before graduation. But on May 27, 1977, two things changed Mrs. Hooves' life.

It was on this date that she went to the her doctor's office to try and figure out the cause of her nausea in the morning. The doctor congratulated her after the exam and told her that she was pregnant. Eager to tell her husband, Derpy raced home to share the news. But when she arrived there was a stallion from the local police department waiting for her at her door. He informed her that her husband had been killed at work. (see Ponyville Police Report No. 373-21D)

Mrs. Hooves joined the Home Guard in 1984 to help gather extra income in addition to her job as Ponyville's mailmare. When war broke out in 1986 she immediately attempted to become a pilot with the all-mare squadron in Ponyville. After being denied she called on Rainbow Dash who was able to get her everything required. Due to the urgent need for pilots, she was approved to enter combat with 300 hours instead of the regular 600.

Mrs. Hooves is currently stationed in the Crystal Empire with the 99th FS and is one of only three mares to have reached "ace" status.
