I am here. Just finished a shadow :D
One the longest and the hardest thing in my programm is making a shadows. In normal program I would add just some black spaces and done. In programms like Inkscape it's more difficult. Of course you don't have to add dark color. You can play with any other color to make a shadows. However the fastest and the best way is my way.
Here is the photo I've made when I made underlines. Pretty detailed, heh?
If I want make a shadow for it I have to delete every "hidden" line. After this picture looks like this: (Empty shell of our picture). Someone would say "Pfff... it isn't difficult". Well, yes. It's easy work, but very, very long, cause we have a different elements, what are moving out from a main sketch and ends somewhere in the middle. Example:
(Red - picture sketch
Green - shadow sketch)
As you can see, I had to cut this element, because I needed only the line "outside". When the elements are big it isn't problem, the small ones are very problematic.
Why do I do it? Why wouldn't just copy a whole picture and make it black. Well, I'll show you on this pony:
Here are his shadows:
1. I've copied a whole pony and just add a black color - few seconds of work
2. Making a shadow's sketch and then putting a black color - few minutes of work.
They are similar, hę? Of course they are. But what will happen if we will make them transparent?
1. Multi shadows making one big mess.
2. Clear shadow of pony.
(Post written during a break xD)
