I won't deny I've been tempted to quit the fandom a couple times. I got super into MLP shortly after the premiere of season 1, but 2013 was probably the absolute shittiest year I've ever had. Long time fans know I've struggled with depression for a very long time and I've suffered through the worst of it.
This fandom, despite its proclamation for love and tolerance, doesn't love up to that standard a couple of times. I feel it sometimes acts as a shield to hide the problems underneath. When people say they're just plain fed up with the fandom, I can believe them. I've been close myself a couple times.
Still, I've gotten to meet some pretty great people. I've got some sweet fans. I've been able to influence other people with the power of the written word.
So it comes to Landon. Bye, dude. I admit I know nothing about you, be it the real you of the Landon I see. I thank you for doing me an audio rendition of Welcome to Night Vale and I'm so utterly pleased I did a good enough job to provoke that kind or reaction. Still, if you're feeling the same feeling that I've felt, I more than understand.
In honor of your kindness, I'm going to be continuing my tradition of a new episode of Welcome to Night Vale, only I'm going to try my hand at the microphone this time. Hope you have a good time wherever you go, dude.
Just remember Journey. The ride never ends. And I need you to finish Grey Hat. Many tears of sadness at the unknown would be shed. Speaking of, I just noticed I haven't favourited it.
