Notes On Chapter Five · 4:26pm Sep 17th, 2015
Unless I have new inspiration, chapter 5 is the last chapter for my fanfic, though definitely it's not the last story. That particular fanfic might be done, but not the story itself.
In any event, stories do take a life of their own. Especially the last part, when IMO ( at least for me) it took a turn for a little bit darker tone, if not very much darker. As I've said, I initially didn't intend it to turn out that way.
Now, some inspirations on portions of chapter 5. In the scene where Sunset stood over Adagio, and Adagio was daring to hit her, Sunset then said, “No, I don’t have to. You’re broken, Adagio. There’s no need for me to hit you.” Anyone who knows Batman especially the "Knightfall" storyline will notice that it is almost the scene where Jean-Paul Valley, as the Batman and having a new suit, stood over Bane who was beaten badly and was saying to him to finish him off. Of course I changed some things, like Sunset not beating the heck out of Adagio, and Adagio going stark-raving mad ( in Batman Bane went to Blackgate Prison). I also paraphrased what Jean-Paul Valley said; in Batman he said to Bane: "No, you're broken, Bane. Blackgate Prison can hold the pieces."
Another scene there has been inspired by a cover in X-Men, wherein a nun stood over Joseph (aka the clone actually of Magneto, for those familiar with that particular storyline) and holding out her hand while Joseph/Magneto was on his hands and knees and reaching out to her. In the fanfic Sunset stood and reached out to Sonata after Adagio rebuffed Sonata's pity.
One thing: how do you tag "Complete" to the story?
