SFC Ponycron

I love to read and write fiction and fanfiction. I'm 34 years old, married, and a gamer....I think that's it, other than Vinyl Scratch is best background pony. :P

    Oh, hey, I'm not dead...

I apologize if this blog post seems a bit too rough or defensive, but simply put, I haven't had the drive, the 'oomph' to write as of late. And it's not just for this fandom, but for ALL my other fandoms. I mean, I go to Google Docs wanting to write and as soon as I open up any given document, my mind just blanks and I can't write a damn thing.

    Pics of OCs

    Hey, all.

I know I've been silent for the past little while, and that's because my muse left me until recently. I'd been staring at my 'Pony Work' folder on my Google Drive or on Tumblr, just itching for some form of inspiration. The latter just happened to spark it.

Hey, everypony. I know I'm long overdue for a blog post, seeing as I've been somewhat active again around here since I got back from Bronycon this year.

Now, I'm fairly sure that I haven't mentioned it, but there've been a lot of changes in my life in the past couple of months. I quit my job doing overnight drive-thru at the beginning of May. I'd been there for eight years, all I did was overnight drive-thru, and I really wasn't going anywhere with the job. It didn't help my depression, anxiety or anger issues, either.

I'm not going to go into too much detail, but suffice to say that I'm sleeping better, I'm eating better, and, according to my friends, my disposition has been a lot brighter and I'm standing up straighter, figuratively speaking. And I think the change of scenery helped with my creativity as well.

As you can see, I've posted a few things, namely a conclusion to The Truth. The second-to-last chapter was a real headache, just because I went through several drafts before I finally managed to come up with something manageable. It was only a matter of slightly tweaking around the conclusion, and voila, finally finished! Of course, I feel that it could be better, but I can't really see how right now, so unless I get a new idea, I'm happy with it.

With that finally finished, I've decided to post a couple of my previous submissions to the Sexty Minute Pony Stories. The reason I'm doing so is because I've had story ideas beyond the prompt submissions themselves, and I want to explore them. My writing is still a little slow-going, but better than nothing, in my opinion.

On a final note, I've decided to adopt a cancelled story, and the original author and I are just waiting for the mod to finalize things. I'm taking the reins of a TwiMac fic called Family Matters, and so far, what I've shown the original author seems sufficient enough for them to let me adopt the story. I hope that I can do the author justice.
