Not back as quickly as I had hoped

My apologies for not posting a blog sooner. A lot has happened in the past two months. I didn't have a lot of time to go into details with my last blog. But I had been in the process of moving to a new home and I moved in mid July. Sadly, it was anything but smooth. I won't bore you with the details, but long story short, I'm moved and am in the ongoing process of unpacking and settling.

So many crazy things have been happening, even before my last check in around Mid-October. If I told you everything that was going on, you'd think I was exaggerating or something. Salutations, my friends! ^^

It's been a little while since I last checked in. So, I thought I'd see how all of you are doing. Despite the endless challenges this year has brought. Time still seems to be joined with wings. My days currently consist of work, writing and dealing with challenges all the same. I won't bore you with the details as I'd rather bring you tidings of joy rather than those of sorrow. Besides,

Still Going Strong! · 2:00pm Aug 4th, 2012

Hello Everyone! I'm glad you all seem to be enjoying Chapter 3 of "You Brighten My Day". I happy to announce that Chapter 4 is in the works. Sadly I have to work tonight, due to forced overtime rules, but at least I got Chapter 3 up sooner than planned. So I will still have some time to work on the next installment with a shortened weekend! Hopefully I'll have next weekend off. The weekends the best time for me to make major progress on my stories.

Oh for those of you still enjoying "A Total Eclipse of Their Hearts" have no fear, I've not abandoned it by a long shot. It's just taken a back burner for right now. It will be back. I just want to keep my focus on my Celestia story for the meantime. I still am thrilled by its popularity. It currently has 423 favorites/watchers! That's bucking incredible for one of my stories! I still hope once I get to the romance and steamy parts that you will all still enjoy it. Because originally it wasn't going to be quite this in-depth. Though I am enjoying the way things have been developing. Hopefully I do the rest of the formation of their relationship justice.

By the way, could I get a show of hooves...who thinks Daniel and Celestia need to know each other for more than one week before I start moving their relationship into more than friendship? I will ultimately write this as I see fit, but your opinions would be appreciated and give me plenty to consider.

HenryAnthonyCourtler has already suggested allowing a couple of weeks to pass. Anyone else agree/disagree? I'd enjoy entertaining some opinions of my readers. Henry's suggestion is not entirely out of the question. Many of you have enjoyed the way things turned out with "A Total Eclipse of Their Hearts". I just want my valued readers to know that while I write for myself, I always like to keep your interests at heart as well! =D

EDIT: Please Read the Comments for additional info, and thank you to everyone who has been offering up your feedback! It's greatly appreciated!! =D

Thanks a bunch in advance everyone!

Probably gonna need more than a week to get to "and then they fucked!" reasonably but given the set-up you have done so far a romantic relationship in 4-7 days would not be inconceivable.

Thank you for the comment and suggestion! I will do Chapter 4 very carefully. But regardless I'm planning to juice things up come Chapter 5. I wanted to do so in chapter 4 but the stage still needs a little more setting. :moustache:

You could easily compress Tuesday-Friday into a "routine" based on Monday into the first chapter to extend the "Friendship" time without losing any real development. Then you would still have a whole chapter to finish setting the stage, with 6 days of familiarity under their belts... or wings, whatever. :trollestia:
More than a week before "and then they fucked!" and they can still fuck in chapter 5.:rainbowwild: Really I mean, how much can they do during a work week anyway?:trixieshiftright:

EDIT: Buck! That was suppossed to be "into the first paragraph" not chapter! GAH!!

just a suggestion, but, what if you put a couple of days in the week into chapter 4? like "monday, ?/?. this happened."

you know?

268634 Because Monday was in chapter 3?

Thank you for taking my suggestion into consideration. I'm merely trying to help so it doesn't have the minor issue with the timing of Dave and Luna's relationship in "A Total Eclipse of Their Hearts."

269046 i know...but i'm saying you could do it in a style where every few paragraphs it switches to a different day and details the events of that day, to speed up the whole 'falling in love' process.

get it?

A little more time would be nice.

That's pretty much what I was thinking.

Yeah you're idea also seems similar to 268613's idea. Which is what I am most likely going to do. So thank you for the suggestion!

Yeah I guess it was bad or me to have David and Luna get it on after only a little over 6 days of being together. Still you were the first to point that out, so I had little way of even knowing I had rushed things too much. Now getting back to this story. I was originally reluctant to let a few weeks pass, mainly because I originally thought I only had Celestia on a short vacation (a few days). But after skimming back over Chapter 1, I discovered that I had Luna tell Celestia to take "some time off". Which is ambiguous in a good way! It could give her much as a few months (maybe even a year) of time off. After all Celestia did work for 1,000 years with little time off. Sorry I digressed there. My point being, I can let two weeks go by to develop their relationship on a more believable scale, problem free. Plus if I do chapter 4 properly, I can build on Daniel's character, introduce Celestia to more human things around his home, and I can advance their friendship without having to drag it out, thus leaving the stage set to work on their romance, leading to some much needed loving in Chapter 5! You and the others have some good ideas! And I was considering very similar ideas, but I really do value your input! I think this next chapter will be better still! Thank you!

And to ALL OF YOU!! THANK YOU!! :pinkiehappy::raritystarry::twilightsmile::yay::trollestia::moustache:

My new friend, I agree! And thank you for giving me your opinion!

269596 *proud smile* I knew you'd figure out the balance my friend. With writing a romance or any story, but specifically romance, it's all about balance. If you can't maintain a semblance of balance between pacing and romance you end up with something that feels corny or rushed. Too little romance and it's more of a friendship story than passion.
