Dr. Wolf's "Forever Young" Video

This story is one of my favorites from my Fluttercord fanfiction library, and this is one of my favorite dramatic readings by Dr.Wolf. So I was so excited when I saw the trailers for this custom art/other accompanying voice version of this story:D
I almost cried...

Something you need to know about me: I can't cry during movies or any kind of video/media. I can cry when reading books like "Where the Red Fern Grows" or "Black Beauty", and I feel sad for when the characters are sad in movies, but my eyes are incapable of producing tears during movies and videos. The only time I almost cried was at the time of ninth episode of Bride of Discord ending and...when watching this video. No joke, I almost cried at the end of this video. But...still not quite tears just a little teary eyed.

Anyway, I highly recommend this video for anyone that loves Fluttercord shipping, Fluttercord friendship, Doctor Wolf, dramatic readings, and amazing stories that can bring on the feels.
I just love the art work in this video <3 The artist, Meb90, did an amazing job. Not only was their style adorable and oh so cute, but this artist was able to convey deep and heart breaking and subtle emotions through the facial expressions and the eyes of the characters. Especially when it came to Discord, which was key to the story itself. You could tell what the characters were thinking about and feeling when you saw the beautiful eyes drawn by this person. For example, when Discord was thinking about Fluttershy and having a serious conversation with her, his eyes reflected the image of Fluttershy in them so clearly and so purely. You didn't need dialogue to know what was happening in the story, all you needed was the pure and raw yet beautiful expressions drawn by this artist. However, if you're not into big cutesy and glistening eyes, then you might not like this person's art. But at least, give this artist a chance if that's the case. This person only makes the ponies' eyes big, Discord's eyes are reasonably sized in this art work.

This artist did a marvelous job with drawing out Discord's magical antics as well as the colors. The colors are bright and cheerful, but also soft and warm at the same time. The colors feel very natural yet stylized and not too much in your face. Their shading and lighting is to die for! The combination of these two along with their wide arranged of colors creates an amazing atmosphere that fits the tone of each scene in the video. Not to mention, this person is very creative with their shading and lighting and how it accompanies the colors. Bravo to this obviously experienced artist!
But the most praise worthy quality of this artist is how diverse their art style can be. One moment, their style can be rounded and bubbly and smooth. But then the next moment, it can be black and white and stylized and the characters' eyes are bright white. Almost looking dramatic yet abstract. And then, the next moment the art style can be simple and look like cute paper cut outs for story telling. Despite all these variations, they still have one constant style to them and you can still tell that they belong to one artist. This artist is so experienced and creative and knows their own art work from head to toe, and I admire this kind of dedication to detail and craft<3

The other voices that accompanied Doctor Wolf in this video is Miss Mary Medley as Fluttershy and Keyframe as Rarity. As always, Mary Medley is amazing and wonderful as Fluttershy:) Although, my only critique and nitpick about her performance is...there was a scene where Fluttershy was an old mare, but Mary still voiced her as young Fluttershy. Now, I know it's hard to voice an older version of a usually cartoon self, especially Fluttershy. But, I was looking forward to hear what would Fluttershy sounded like as an old mare. And Mary Medley is soo talented and I know she can do something like that. But maybe that was a directoral decision by Doctor Wolf? I don't know:/ Keyframe as Rarity was pretty good. She had her moments when she sounded like her, but then she had her moments when she didn't. Her portrayal of Rarity's emotions was pretty good, but...I've heard of better Rarity voice overs in our brony community. But Keyframe still did a good job on the role she had to play:)

The beginning, ending, and background music was soooo beautiful!:') Especially when the piano came in...it was just soooo...precious and wonderful and sooo full of feels!:') THE FEELS!

P.S. I hope Meb90 is a Fluttercord shipper, or at least, likes to draw Fluttercord friendship art. Please give me more of your Fluttercord art!
